@jet, how many ovens do you have? Looks like you have a professional kitchen. Oh, I love roast lamb. Haven't had it for years. My mother made it often in the spring especially, on Sundays.
Enjoy!

Back from the vet. Bad news, doggie has a torn cruciate ligament. Surgery is an option with a 6-8 week recovery with cone and must be lifted to go potty. I can't do it. Other option is pain meds for an extended period until arthritis builds up to stabilize the knee. At age 14 years, we'll go that route. At least there will be less lifting and less chance of dropping her or falling.

Right now, she's fed, medicated and resting in her bed comfortably. I was a mess, but calm now.
I am sorry you have to go through that but glad it wasn't worse. Resting comfortably is probably what will help her the most.

Hello! It sure was busy at the rink, yesterday! I worked much harder than I wanted to!

When we got home,

was waiting to greet us. I gave him a ton of attention and he loved every second of it. I can tell he liked it, by all of the purrrrng!

Last night I did not sleep well. My intestinal track was very uncomfortable and unhappy. I actually got up to use the

3 times, to empty out!!! Eventually I slept for about an hour before the alarm rang. Dio got up and insisted that I go back to sleep while he made the coffee, etc. I'm feeling better, now that I'm empty.....just very sleepy.

I hope everyone has a great day! 😘

Just learned that DD, DDIL, TGS & Infant GS will come here Halloween evening, as usual. What's different: their close friends (a couple with two little girls - we know the family well) will also be coming, as will my other DS and DDIL.

None of them live in trick-or-treating friendly neighborhoods:
One family lives on a steep hill.
Another lives in an area with old, large properties, so too much walking between houses for kids to bother with their street.
The last is in a neighborhood that just doesn't embrace Halloween.

It half breaks these couples' hearts to have big bowls of candy and very few doorbell ringers.

Other than 2001 and 2020, we've always had a pretty good turnout, so we'll be party central this Thursday. The kids will trick or treat in our neighborhood, and can also answer our door, see other trick or treaters, and pass out candy.

Gotta figure out what I'll feed the troops. Besides candy, that is.

Hi folks.....yes I'm very late today, also very lazy bout most
anything!!! ah well....got a load of dishes to get cleaned, other
wise noting important....oh did just place order for melatonin\
to be delivered soon, cannot run out of that....it is sunny and 50 deg or so right now, not warming much today....got to keep
porch lights out tonite, so as not to attract any wandering treaters....really have not had treatrs in many, many years....;)

Well I was disapointed. I went out to the garden centre which BTW is a 40 mile round trip on a very busy motorway... because they forecast it was gonna be a glorious day all day... I got to the GC at 1pm just as the sun away and the clouds came in to take it;s place ! I'd hoped to get some pictures of all the autumn colours in the trees...

The GC had nothing worth buying.. completely stacked up instead with Chrstmas Decorations not even very nice ones either..

Was tempted to have a cuppa tea at the restaurants conservatory, but I decided against it..

Went instead to the Diiscount suerstore to buy stuff like conditioner, and toilet cleaner etc.. then to the supermarket. ... then drove home..only to be stuck in a traffic jam 5 miles long seriously...inching the whole way.... I was really getting concerned cuz I had frozen food on board...

In Spain if there's construction crews on the road.. they cone it off about 200 yards MAX from the spot where they're working and in fact usually only 50 yards ... here they are such snowflakes.. this was Coned off for 2 miles, and it was only a tiny little bit of road they were working on... so it caused a back log of traffic for 5 miles... Good grief!!

I shoulda stayed home! It's 4.30pm now and it's as dark as night,... who stole the Sun..? ☀️ ☀️

Same. When we went out it was lovely - chilly but, nice walking weather. By the time we got home, it was dark and wintry. I guess that extra hour has made the difference and we are back to short days again.

I get that the traffic jam was a pain but, if you had stayed at home, you would not have enjoyed some fresh air or the exercise. I think the weather is meant to get colder so, you will have other days when you can stay home and relax. :)

LOL..I didn't really get much fresh air or exercise.. I was in the car , out of it, into the garden centre, out of it, into the car , out of it, into Home bargains, out of it, into the car ..out of it into Lidl.... then into the car and drive home..:D

I dunno, there was a lot of getting in, getting out, getting back in again, out of it, into it, out of it, into it again ... sounds exhausting! Perhaps you should have stayed home and rested after all 😂

My dog is not doing well. For about 3-4 months now, her walk has been a little weak, but for the past few days, it's worse. Yesterday she could barely walk! Same today. I have to take her to the vet, maybe today if I can get her in the car. I couldn't carry her to the car I don't think.

Last night my son was here. He said I could call him to get her there, but he works as does Dil who runs a day-care. All my neighbors work. There's one other person I can call, after I call the vet......

Doggie is 14 this month. I may have to make a decision that will break my heart.
I've been through that recently. I wasn't there at the clinic because l was ill. Looking back l should have been. I should have crawled on my hands and knees on the street to be there. He was euthanized and l wasn't there. I worry about what he was thinking. I loved him and he loved me. l count on seeing him again. I am not afraid of death.

RadishRose, l hope that the vet can do something for her to give her still more time to be with you.

Thank you Olivia. I'm so sorry you feel badly about not being there when your pet was euthanized. Please don't worry... he wasn't thinking anything like we would do. He was no doubt ok. Just focus on how you loved each other, 🌹

Well my Soafa... aside from the 2 scammers, I haven't had a bite yet on Gumtree.. and when I sold my last sofa.. gumtree was the one where I had the most interest. ..and where it eventually sold..

However on Ebay I now have One starting Bid.. and 22 people have them on their watch list...

My grandson is coming Tuesday! DD and the girls are tagging along on her MIL's work conference at Great Wolf Lodge. They can do so much more without having to chase a two year old.
I've got to get to the grocery tomorrow. That boy can eat!
I have figured out how to put my afghan back together. It's just going to take some time.

Oh, and it rained last night! A good amount, enough to give the yard a good drink. Not sure where it came from but we'll take it!
