I have not been to bed yet, but this has become my new life. Guess I am a teenager again, sleep all day, party all night! Yeah, right LOL, at least I got two loads of laundry done and gave the washer and dryer a good wipe down cleaning.

Then being bored, it was time for some online shopping. @Georgiagranny, I went crazy, ordered a new leather sofa to be delivered on 11/8. I went on the Macys site checking the sale items. I did get a few new tops and a couple of pairs of long shorts. Still bored, I checked out the furniture section and I got bit.

At least, I am starting to feel tired. You would have thought I had walked the mall for hours.

Blessed, I also ordered a new sofa, but mine is taking 8 weeks because it's being had made... I ordered it about 3 weeks ago..or more.. Currently I've got my leather sofas up for sale.. and with 5 bidders so far and with only one day to go, I hope I get more... :D

It's just past noon..I'm expecting my Daughter to call any moment she usually does on her lunch hour mid-week...

and the electrician is due sometime this afternoon.. I get all my electrics checked every 3 years as part of my home insurance...he does a very thorough job of checking everything which gives me great peace of mind..

Good grief. Now there are DNA tests for dogs. Really. People are going to pay for a DNA test for their dogs so they'll know which ones are the parents, grandparents, great grandparents. As I'm fond of exclaiming, "Chihuahua!"

It's almost 8am and still as dark as the inside of a cow's belly out there. My guess is that it's gonna be an overcast day.

So far, I'm dressed, coffeed and breakfasted, and the litterbox has been cleaned. Yay, me.

@Blessed is the reason so many couldn't sleep last night. She can party all night if she wants to, but I wish she'd keep the noise down to a gentle roar.

Speaking of DNA, I tracked down my half sister on the facebook. Have looked for her for years. She had a few last name changes so it was kinda hard. Now that I found her, I don't know if I have the courage to contact her. I have not seen her or spoken to her in 50 years. Not by choice, it was just the way life went.

What do you have to lose? Wednesday is as good a day as any to start that journey.

Blessed, you've worked hard at finding her, fate has led you to her, just drop her a line... the most she can do is not reply.. in which case you move on.... she can't kill you.. so take courage in both hands and just do it..good luck!

On my early morning walk at 6:50,wearing my yellow reflector vest, went down the block into a local 7/11 convient store needed to buy some bread. It was 'balmy' out, temp was 70
This afternoon at 4:30,a day I've been waiting for 3 months the closing of my co opt apt.I'll hand over my keys to another resident, Bob&his partner Jeff. I thought this would never happen, to do the fact of a irresponsible, non communicating board. These members{ all residents} never had the decency to call& let me know the status of the deal when the closing date was. I found out from my real estate agent/friend, Patrick and my atty I lost many sleepless nights worrying about it
I plan to say something when all is done, tell them you don't treat a long time shareholder{36 yrs} like this
I know I'll sleep better tonight knowing, how happy I am living here at Canterbury Woods-Gates Circle

The electrician is here , he's going to be turning off all the electrics in a few minutes time, for about 1/2 hour ... so I never know what to do in that situation. I won't have Internet.. or TV or radio... and I can't go and work in the kitchen because that's where he's based himself where the all the fuse box cupboard is, can't go up to the barn or the garden because to reach it I have to get through the kitchen to the back door , ... so I'll have to sit quietly in the livingroom with a book...

Misty and foggy this morning after a blessed rain overnight.
Yesterday got involved with making broccoli-cheddar soup from scratch.
I wanted to make either beef, veg, & barley soup or- chicken tortilla soup today, but I dunno, I may be souped out.

Doggie is the same. Good spirits, but limps. Pain med works well; no panting.

I brought in my two small hibiscus plants to save from frost-kill as well as my rosemary bush. Not sure where to put them. Right now the hibiscus are on the entryway floor and the rosemary taking up space on the kitchen counter. I guess I'll have to put them upstairs to get enough sun. L/R has enough houseplants.

Good day to all!

Today is a great day. Our house in a +55 MHP is finally on the market. It has taken a lot of time to clear out everything, and I am going to do the final clearing today.
I rented a small storage unit nearby to hold some stuff. The annual cost is less that the home insurance I was paying.

Our week started out OK till Monday evening.

Hubby didn't tell me where he went.
As darkness started to get darker,, I got anxious & dog was fussing.

Finally he rolled home in his ATV.
He didn't come into the house right away,,??

I went into garage to see what was keeping.

He had gone over on his brother's checking out. trees.
Saw one he thought was dangerous,, started cutting parts of it up.

He wasn't noticing a limb that was caught up in another tree.
Next thing he was lying on cut up tree about 10 feet from where he had been!

He managed to finish what ever log wasn't cut up !

He had been hit on his chest ,,Landed on his left arm.
I checked him for broken bones, etc.
Send him into shower for a hot one to hep ease the pain he was.

Tuesday afternoon we saw we saw the ortho doctor.
Hubby got a shot in his right shoulder.

A phone call that came in after we got home, informed us that hubby's very close friend had passed away.

So far today hubby is trying to clean the garage.
That should keep him busy all day.

Happy Halloween Eve to all!

Spent a couple of hours at the hospital midday yesterday while DH underwent a PET scan.

Wandered into Kaiser's cafeteria and was delighted at the improved menu with many more healthy options than my last visit a few years ago. Guessing I wasn't the only one who sent a complaining email about racks of Hostess cakes but few fresh, healthy options. I decided on some split pea soup, which was delicious and surprisingly inexpensive: $2.75 for a large bowl. I'll send a thank you email today in appreciation of their efforts.

Need to hit the library, but there are no other errands on today's agenda, so I'll have time to make a pot of soup. 😋

Well that's all the electrics checked.. everywhere... it's really quite comprehensive.

He checked every single socket in the house , every plug, ..every corner, pulling things out to get to them, every light..all measured on a meter.. and I don't know what he was doing in the Fusebox cupboard but he was in there for about an hour.. he also replaced my Upstairs Smoke alarms, not because they don't work but apparently they're older models.. altho' very modern to look at.....even into the airing cupboard and checked the electrics there,,

I was thanking the Good lord that I clean behind furniture and fridges etc.. otherwise it might have been embarassing to have dust and dirt there..

It's just after 4.30pm it;s starting to get dark,.. I've just had a late lunch of sausage rolls...

I didn't sleep well last night, so I think I might go and have 40 winks
