Cold morning here, trip to docs then carmarthen see soliitor, maybe lunch out,who knows.View attachment 381986

@jet I had to Google "tidy my gaff." Now I know.

It's kinda chilly-ish here this morning. 38F. It might be only 60 or so today, but it'll be sunny.

DD is working at her away-from-home job today since tomorrow is Thanksgiving.

I'm gonna make pumpkin pie today. That might be all that gets done. Anticipation of a holiday usually gets me all excited, but this time I'm just not feeling it. Time for an attitude adjustment.

~Continued the tedious process of registering my songs with ASCAP.

~Spent time on Facebook promoting my album and posting thank you messages for comments about same.

~ Did some personal accounting.

~Put away the refrigerated foods my son brought from Costco. The packaging for items to be refrigerated always get disinfected before we put them in.
I'll definitely check your album out!

Cooking day. I am doing mostly appetizers for Thanksgiving. Also, the ham. I will bring that. No-one wants turkey so were having ham and chicken wings plus all the traditional stuff. 😮
I make a clam and a shrimp dip which my family loves. And sausage balls. I believe we have discussed those on here. 🙂
I have a maple muffin mix I picked up in with the Halloween clearance. I'm going to make it into maple and white chocolate cookies.
This is a breeze compared to normal. 🦃

@hollydolly Oh, goody! Can you sell his crap for enough to heat your house in January and maybe February, too? "Whatever" it is? Check around, maybe he left a Rolex or two!
lol..well he was careful to take all his watches.. .. but there are a few technical items here that can be sold and they should bring enough to heat the house for the next month or 2....there are also irreplaceable things that I know he places great store on... and has probably not even realised he doesn't have them
Further there are the photos of his parents.. and him as a child.. and certificates and diplomas etc...

It's coming up towards 4.30am... I went to bed at just after 9pm... and the trouble is regardless of how tired I am, if I go to sleep early, my body clock won't allow to sleep very long.. so I was awake at 1.30am.., and I really forced my self to sleep for another hour.. but by 2.30pm I'd had enough...
Interesting how you British folk's days are so far ahead of my my West Coast of the US hours so on nights I wake up in the wee hours with insomnia that is sometimes common over days, I'll be awake during your day hours. Instead of uselessly trying to sleep will just grab the smartphone and find Internet amusements for an hour or three warmly laying here until my mind has tired enough to sleep a bit more.

4:43am now. Cannot wait too long because I've normally been waking about 6am recently at dawn and that will keep me awake. One thing we share in our northern hemisphere winter hours is short damp dim days after raining periods with chilly ground fog sunrises that is about to end today. Forecasts show we will be going into cool sunny dry period for the Thanksgiving holiday.

A beautiful sunny and chilly morning, but it looks like bad weather for tomorrow; Thanksgiving Day, rain forecast at 42F. Some spots may freeze.

My plans to go with grandson and family to dinner at his mother's tomorrow are not to be, as his wife was diagnosed with covid the other day. I could go alone, but I don't want to. DS and DIL are going out of town to some relatives of hers. I'm okay alone with doggie.

Cleaned the kitchen really well yesterday and will work on living room and some laundry today. I will not go near any stores today!

Have a fun day!

I've been fighting with my tablet all morning. My messenger app was all wonky. And then, while working on that, the Wi-Fi went out!! I had better make this short, in case something else goes wrong!!

Today I'm planning on making a Cherry Dump Cake, and putting up my Christmas tree. I also need to repackage and freeze a few things that I got from the store, yesterday. We'll see if any of that actually happens.

Morning all....boy one extra melatonin sure made a difference last nite, slept 9 hrs with one p trip, wow....cloudy and gray here
at 41F deg, supposed to rain later this morning...will see what
happens...got some dishes and laundry to do...I'm the greatest
puteroffer I know!!! Catch you later on......;):coffee:

Yesterday I decided to get to Costco early to pick up eggs and some other baking supplies. Seems I wasn't the only one with that brilliant idea. The HUGE parking lot was completely full when I arrived at 10:15 (it opened at 10:00) and lines of cars were circling the aisles hunting for open spaces.

The only other time I've seen it that way was when the country was closing down for the pandemic. On that day, DH was driving so I asked him to drop me off so I could see what it looked like inside. Every checkstand was open I counted a typical line: 54 CARTS! (I just checked my SF post describing that experience on March 12, 2020 to be sure I remembered correctly. Yup, 54 carts in each line.)

Based on an equally crowded lot, I knew what the store would look like inside so I gave up the ghost. Silver lining to the crowded Costco cloud - their gas pumps were empty so I filled my tank.

Baking supplies replenishment can wait until the weekend.

Started cooking for tomorrow since some things can be prepared ahead and reheated when needed. I already made my "yamkin" which is a can of sweet potatoes which I mash and combine with a can of pumpkin (sweet potatoes or yams + pumpkin). Also made a cranberry relish which is a cup of dried cranberries rehydrated in the microwave with orange juice. I am braising the turkey cutlets right now and will follow up with the stuffing. The mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts and apple cranberry ambrosia will be prepared tomorrow.

Toddler grandson was supposed to come here and spend the night, but woke up with a fever so the plans got scuttled.

Since I now have a fully free day, I'm considering getting started on the Christmas decoration process.
Sorry poor TGS is ill. But I hope you'll have fun with the Christmas decorations. I won't take down my fall wreath until Fri and then hang my Christmas wreath.

We’ll take recycling in and stop at a store to pick up some boxes that I can use for storing donations. I have things set aside for a garage sale. The other night I decided it just has to go. I’ll do the sorting now and give it to a special charity when they have their garage sale.

Will work on cleaning more kitchen cupboards. Doing those a few at a time.

After long wakey hours last night, I got back to sleep at 6:30 until the 8:15 alarm went.

Curious: Yamkin, is it more savory to than sweet? Do you add any spice?

@hollydolly No need to be nice. Pitch his photos, certificates, diplomas.
why is it that I feel absolute and total guilt at the idea of throwing these photographs... they're the only ones he has of his parents and family, and of him as a baby and schoolboy ....and his certificates

I shouldn't feel bad about it... but that's the reason I've held onto them for this long time now... but I've told him again through my lawyer that these boxes need collecting...he's feigned ignorance about them..goodness knows why he's pretending they don't exist... but anyway... I do have to brace myself now and throw them out....
