I am introducing a post for your photographs with the theme - Seen Better Days

In the mid to late 60's Mick Jagger's squeeze was a young singer name of Marianne Faithful.
Sex and drugs and rock & roll can certainly take their toll.
Please don't knock Marianne! I was at school when I heard her singing "As Tears Go By" and thought it was great :)

I have seen better photos than the 2021 you posted above but, for a lady who was, I think, 75 years old in 2021, she looks fine especially when you take into account that she was hospitalised in 2020 with Covid and was lucky to survive it. I saw her interviewed a couple of years ago and she came across as a very interesting lady and looked great.

The City Methodist Church in Gary, Indiana

The crash of the steel industry hit Gary, Indiana, hard in the 1970s. This economic depression resulted in the abandonment of many once-popular buildings, including the City Methodist Church.

The church reportedly cost a whopping $1 million to build in 1926, which would be about $7 million by today's standards. However, despite all the work that went into building the beautiful English Gothic-style church, the parish officially closed in 1975.

The site has acted as a shooting location for several movies, including "A Nightmare on Elm Street," "Transformers 3," and "Pearl Harbor."

Definitely Seen Better Days
Such a shame when great buildings are left to rot.

It is so surprising and sad that so many things are abandoned. I look at things like that (this whole thread) and think that surely there is something that can be done to re-purpose the sites.

One thing that is very prevalent here in Western Australia is abandoned houses on farm land. A new house has been built and the old one is left to rot and become an eyesore.

Yep @Bretrick , happens here too. New and shiny is what they want. I have always tried to re-purposed items if I couldn't fix them. Can't always, but it is worth a shot.
