Men Who Eat Like Boys

Well first off let me say.....No woman tells me what to do....period!

It seems that women have been telling me what to do all my life......first my mom, school teachers and then my past and current wife.

I don't see it as a negative and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Right. Pushing and shoving and whining and complaining. :)

You know, I've been thinking about this thread. Let me ask, "Women don't like to be told what to do, right ? Most especially by a man, right ?

Then what the ****** gives any woman any right to tell a man what to eat ?

Double standard here ?

If the genders were reversed, and a man was threatening a woman with a frying pan, and ordering her to eat her steak, I guarantee there'd be a swarm of angry wasps after him.

Asking is one thing, ordering is something else altogether.

Ladies, confine your "orders" to little children. You have no right to "order" any man to do anything. (Unless you are paying him to do a job)

I once saw a mother force her child to eat peas and there was company at the table.

He ate the peas and promptly brought them up back on to the plate to the horror of the company.

I remember the father saying. "Happy now?".

Travy
Don't do that

This is simply about men
who eat like boys
not wimin
not big wimin
not mean wimin

just men

Truth be told, I first read the title as Men who eat, like boys

Wasn't gonna touch that

but
happily
it's about how I eat

Yer a man
How do you eat, Travy?

Generally speaking, I eat about 1 lb of meat/day. Add to that my home-made honest bread, potatoes, eggs, cheese, beans, pasta, nuts and fresh fruit. Seems to keep my 6'3" 199lb frame working just fine.

so
at any time in yer life, did you ever 'eat like a boy'?

I'm not sure what it means to eat like a "BOY". I'm not sure the concept even has any validity. Nor can I recall any time in my life that I did not love eating meat and potatoes. One thing I an positive of, eating a vegetarian diet is my idea of hell on earth.

As a life-long cook I can tell you that eating over-cooked vegetables, as prepared by most people , is pure torture, and I refuse to do it. It is shocking just how bad most people are at cooking.

I think eating preferences have gotten too stereotyped. Although I am of the female persuasion, I guess I "eat like a man." I have always loved meat, and mostly dislike vegetables, though I manage to have one or two veggies with dinner every night. I do like salads, but don't usually make a main course out of them, they don't leave me feeling filled or satisfied.

In every TV show, whenever women are eating at a restaurant, they are always eating salads. You never see them eating anything else. Personally, I'd go for a good steak, a NY corned beef sandwich on rye, a slice of pizza, some fried chicken, lasagna, etc. I absolutely love Utz potato chips. See what I mean? "Man food!" Although women like it too.

P.S. I do like fruit, though. In the summer, fruit with cottage cheese or yogurt is usually my lunch, so I guess I'm a little bit "female." Also, I eat plenty of fish and shrimp. And I absolutely love Chinese food. Don't know whether that's male or female.

I like salads too
for the longest time I kept the lettuce to iceberg only
then
my lady intro'd other greens
spinach
kale
other stuff I never considered in the raw

Now?
Iceberg is for...well, nothing
Good, dark, tasteful greens go in my salad, and in my sandwiches

guess I'm a big boy now

Weight and height stats is by no means a final analysis on fitness/wellness

Proper diet, exercise helps

But

I have found,

a good outlook, attitude is most beneficial

And, hey, if I ‘eat like a boy’
And it makes me happy
Can’t knock it
Don’t care if anyone does
