I love a well tended to Bakery, one of my favorites though is in Seattle WA, and also
In LaConner WA, can't upload any pics, my sketchy laptop recently, but the Cheesecakes
will send you out of this world, sooo wonderful was there today

I'm currently without a favourite bakery. To keep busy and enjoy desserts to our liking, we're baking either from scratch or Lidl's own line of pre-measured packets.
Our last batch of croissants looked as if they'd lost the battle in the raising department LOL!
I love the speciality breads out of Morrisons as well as their biscuits (they're huge and gooey) and their doughnuts.
I'd have to say Aulds for sandwich buns and their signature fudge doughnuts. Cakes for special occasions, that's M&S, their fruitcakes are divine.
I'll leave it at this

Sicilian whole orange cake is a moist and delicious crowd-pleasing dessert. It is called a whole orange cake, because the entire orange is used, peel and all. Perfect for any occasion, but such a treat with a cup of tea or coffee.

I remember a cake similar to this for my 5th birthday. I never believed it was bought for my appreciation but the fact that one relative craved eating icing by the bucket load.
I recall that the amount of cake in the bottom portion was incredibly small. Regardless, I only ever had a small wedge, which I couldn't finish because of way too much icing. It requires a serious balance between cake and icing
