As a teenager, I would go with friends at lunch time to a bakery a few blocks from school. We would get small freshly baked yeast rolls. They were so hot out of the oven that butter would melt as soon as you put into the roll. Along with two rolls we would get a small carton of cold milk. So good.

I thought the new understanding of nutrition was that sugar and ultra processed flour was harmful to our health. How come bakeries are still so popular? We do have a diabetes and obesity crisis. Is it good idea to only eat a little bit each day, or just occasionally, or should we quit the habit, like they tell you do on the Keto diet?
