I used to be very good at attempting to cook things that looked tempting, if I do say so myself, but now I ruin most of them.yes it is YP..and there was a Jug of beef gravy, but I wanted to take the photo before we poured gravy over it...
why not try making your own...it's very easy... you just got to beat air into batter, eggs , flour and water.. then pour into a hot pan with hot oil..
use packet gravy instead ... easy peasy ..some stock cubes.. ( one beef stock cube crumbled.. and 2 heaped teaspoons of beef granules into a jug or large cup ....)... pour a little boiling water into the jug onto the mixture.. stir with a spoon, until it thickens, ( few seconds).. then add some more hot water and stir until it reaches your desired thickness... done !...now pour it over your ready made Yorkshire puds.. ...at anytime during this process.. if you like you can add mustard...I used to be very good at attempting to cook things that looked tempting, if I do say so myself, but now I ruin most of them.
My only success lately has been Spaetzle because you can't go wrong with those! I have some store-bought Yorkshire Pudding in my freezer but even if they should turn out okay, I can't get the beautiful gravy my wife used to make anywhere. My daughter makes a fair gravy for me but it's not the same! I would never tell her, so it's between you and me! You say it's so simple to make gravy? Lord knows I've tried!!!![]()
I can buy the OXO or Bovril sachets here, as well as Knorr "Demi Glace" I have tried all, adding them to the scrapings on the bottom of the roasting pan. That's what my wife used to do, but darn it, it always ends up tasting artificial! We don't carry granules or stock cubes in this part of the country so I can't try it your way, HD!use packet gravy instead ... easy peasy ..some stock cubes..
