It is hard to say. Ginger is supposed to be one of the best natural anti-inflammatory. But I also consume a lot of spices such as tumeric and curry and eat a largely vegetarian diet rich in fruits and vegetables. Clearly, all of this has reduced my use of ibuprofen to almost nothing where as before I was taking it almost daily for back pains. So I don't think I can attribute all of the effect to ginger alone. Are you seeing tangible benefits from your ginger root consumption?
But I like the ginger as well to add a zing in my oatmeal and juice.
Oh, and a side note about tinnitus. For me anyway, excessive use of anti-inflammatory drugs, especially Aleve, gave me tinnitus. Years back when I had a car accident, I was taking these quite a bit and then had very bothersome ringing in my ears. I no longer take Aleve at all.
