What are you doing today 2023

I went on my early walk around 6:40 walked around apt complex, temp was 34
I'm shortly leaving to walk 3 blocks to local co-op{am a member} need a couple of items
The rest of my day do monthly paper work, try to take afternoon walk if its not raining
 

Well sitting here foooling around on the 'net for first part
of day....slept one hour longer last nite...meh....got a bunch
of sore joints, what else is new....that stray cat came to visit
me again last nite....dunno why owners are letting it roam...
waiting for post office to deliver shower liner so I can finish
that little project...hate that post office delivers for amazon tho,
we have lousy p.o. service here, ah well...temp is 45, to get to 60 maybe again today.....catch u later on !!!! ;);)
 
Toddler grandson should be here in a few minutes. It's going to be a very cold day today - not even getting out of the high 40s. Brrr... Will be warmer tomorrow and Friday so I'll leave shopping and other errands until then.

Got almost everything done yesterday that I needed to do with the exception of gathering the few tax records for the accounts I oversee. DH needs to send them to the accountant. Baby comes late tomorrow - not until the afternoon - so I put a big note on my computer to do that tomorrow and also asked Alexa to remind me.
 
Today I have an appointment with an attorney to draw up a new will and a living will, my old will was made 40 years ago and as Dylan sings...things have changed...this is something I've put off for years, I'm determine to get this and a couple of other matters taken care of this year.
 
I'm up relatively early today. So I'm sure I'll be able to do an extra 15 minutes of exercise, as planned. I'll try my new (used) Gazelle.

Trivia game tonight.

In between, I should try to read some Schopenhauer for the next book club meeting. We talked about Time last time. Next time it will be Space, and the Sublime, and how they relate.

Last night my language partner wanted to clear the air about something I'd said previously, that had made him feel bad. Either I'm an idiot, or something was lost in translation. I don't want anyone to feel bad. Sometimes I think I'm not cut out for talking to anyone. But I'll carry on....
 
Oh it's cold today...Brrrr!! I was going out for the shopping if I felt up to it today, but it's been so cold and grey I've put it off. I just got the chores done instead...

I think I'll go and watch some of the Murdough trial shortly.The jury were taken to look at the murder scene this morning, so maybe that will help with their deliberations..
 
I've just been night shopping. Haven't been shopping t night in the dark since before Covid when the supermarkets used to be open 24 hours, Now since the pandemic they only open until midnight. Anyway the roads were remarkably quiet, as were the stores..( 8pm).. .. so I got all my shopping from 2 stores without having to stand in any queues..

Another good thing about shopping at this time of the night is the markdowns on fresh goods.. all types of breads, and cakes, and tarts.. apple tart etc..

I got 12 bread rolls.. for 20p ( usual price £1.20 per pack of 6) ... 2 seeded wholemeal loves for 20p each and an uncut granary loaf for 20 p..... Usual price for the bread is £1.30 per loaf..

As soon as I got home I put them all straight in the freezer..

Now I'm sitting here at 9.30pm with a hot cuppa tea and a fresh ( not reduced).. strawberry iced Donut...:p:coffee:

@hollydolly That is my plan for this evening. I need salty and sweet snacks for the house. I am really having a hard time with cooking right now. I have plenty of things to cook, I don't want to spend time in the kitchen. I am going to look and see what frozen meals would be good until I get over my lazy self.
 
It's nice to shop when the stores aren't busy. When DD and I do the Walmarting, I feel peopled to death.

It's been a dreary day. I haven't spoken one. single. word. all day long. Reckon my voice even still works?

Tomorrow's another day off, which means tomorrow isn't Friday yet. Ack!

try living alone.. sometimes I don't speak to a person for days... :(
 
Yeah, I have lived alone and for all intents and purposes, do now. I live in The Hovel; they live on the other side of the house past the back hall and laundry room.

For whatever reason, I'm more "alone" today than other days. DD works at her away-from -home job tomorrow so it might be two days of speaking to no one. Sigh.

75 here. The Weatherliars are saying now that we should be "weather aware" tonight because there might be tornadoes. Okay. I'm aware. One of these days, they're going to get on TV and do their hysteria routine that never materializes, and it's gonna turn out to be true. Trouble is they've cried wolf so often that nobody believes it anymore.

yes I've lived alone in the past too.. but then I was still working age so I spoke to people most days, and then at night I'd socialise with my friends. Different now at nearly 68.. husband gone, and no work.. and no-one goes out at night around here any more unless they're 20...
