...sun is appearing as I type... so I may go up country later today and have lunch ... just have to wait and see how I feel...

I am writing a blog post presently. When my neighbors are up I am going to be vacuuming and some other small jobs. If it does not rain I want to try to go to the dollar store using my walker. I have never done that before but my friend does and she says to just take some rest stops along the way.

Yesterday…..finally did my address change on my Manitoba Medical card.
This has been a long effort with a lot of frustration.

Have tried many times on the phone…..please hold…..your call if important to us…..please hold…..elevator music…..please hold…..i am # 3 million and on the hold list……crap !!!!

Have tried many times on my iPad, desktop computer…..no luck 🥴🙃🤔😒……will not let me fill the online form.

Then……I remembered I had this happen before with something else….
So…..
I tried doing this form on my phone…….it WORKED……a couple of minutes later I was done and got a confirmation #.

Technology……apparently……we can’t live without it. 😒🥴🙃😉.

Got my first take out A&W junk food supper last nite….teen burger and onion rings…..😋😋😋😋😋.

Did the usual cleaning chores, walks, a load of laundry……i thought with an in suite laundry…..there was supposed to be someone to load, unload, and folded up, and put away…..I was wrong…..that must have been the other place. 🙃🙃🙃.

@ GeorgiaGranny & Kalia,, just now saw your post,, there is a little bit left over .
Its in the fridge freezer.
I don't think it would ship well.

I would post the recipe over in the cooking threads.
Does any one have those new ice cream makers?

We use a Cuisniart ice cream freezer, which has a canister you put in the freezer .
You take the canister out & put it in the mixer housing ,, then the beater,, put the lid on ,, turn on the switch .
In about 20 minutes you have ice cream.

Hubby gets in a hurry for ice cream & takes it out when it like soft serve.

I let it run longer for a harder ice cream.

Just finished woodburning an American Staffordshire Bull Terrier this morning (Staffordshire seems like it ought to be a British breed, but I guess it isn't). Anyway, I wanted to make homemade spaghetti sauce, but it's gonna be hot today, so maybe I will just go water plants, and then watch a favorite movie.

@hawkdon The way to keep your eye from hurting if you poke it is to not poke it. See how that works?

@Sliverfox About the ice cream...who said anything about shipping it? We were going on a road trip to your house!

I'm home. It's thundering. Eeeek. Gimme a minute while I run out and rescue the cushions from my patio chairs. BRB

Okay, then. Where were we? Oh. I worked alone today. TL was off and Sir didn't appear until 10:30. However, I got a lot of baking done first thing so had time to turn off the oven to let it cool. Then? I cleaned the oven. I feel all virtuous and stuff. Yay me.

Just catching up on the last couple of pages of this thread - haven't seen it for a bit.

Went in the pool for an early morning swim and 30 minutes of exercise, meaning it keeps me slightly out of breath. I do a combo of laps and treading water without letting my feet touch the ground or hands touch the sides.

No good deed going unpunished, as I started to exit the pool a freaking bee buzzes past me and stings me on the forearm. The rat b@st@rd, son of a b!tch queen! Between one of those plunger gizmos and a credit card I'm pretty sure we got the stinger out, but it sure did hurt when he got me. Still does, but not as much.

The real annoyance is that DH & I rescue bees (who are extraordinarily poor swimmers) from our pool on a regular basis. No more - let 'em drown! Well... I'll probably change my mind about that in a day or two, but it sure seems a cruel repayment for all the good bee karma we put out into the world. Organic lawn and garden, hummingbird feeder, search and rescue pool patrol, and a general no-kill policy for bugs in the house.

Morning folks....coolish at 65F here...lawn guy did his thing yesterday afternoon,
So, got a load of laundry and thats about it today...that dang black eye still
hurting, esp if I poke the area, lol.....Katlupe, what sort of walker are you
using on stairs, if i may ask....later gang......
It comes tomorrow so I will post a picture of it. It is a walker made for going up and down stairs. I think I will be able to do the stairs with it in case our elevator is not working again.

Have you seen those shopping carts as well that have wheels made to go uo and down stairs ?.. I know you wouldn't be able to use one Kat.. but they're very handy for those who can...

It's 8pm now, I didn't get home until after 7pm... I did go up country... to a market town, (but before I left , I checked and topped up my oil and water in the car)... and had a wander around their independent stores. stores.. and stopped and had some lunch in the pub as well.

The sun was in and out all day.. but even with some heavy cloud it was extraordinarily humid..

I found a ladies shop with some really nice clothes, so I bought 2 tops one in Chocolate brown and one in Navy of the same style.. long sleeves, scoop neck & flowy...

found a really nice Butcher shop...

I was about to buy some meat until I realised I'd planned to go to Costco on the way back.... but I'll remember that shop for next time..
I stopped off at M&S.. and stocked up on cheese scones..

I got Costco on the return.. and spent a little fortune in there ... I was trying to stock up for the next few months on essentials... and paper goods... but I also bought several large trays of fresh meats.. sausages.., metaballs , chicken etc... .. .. and a tray of gorgeous Dark chocolate fudge cake..
They also had some really nice Yoga Pants... not that I do Yoga but they're great quality leggings, so I got a pair of those..

By the time I got home, I was too hot and tired to freeze all the meat and scones.. so I'll get that done in the morning...

I did notice tho' that Petrol at Costco has gone up 5p per littre since 2 weeks ago... so that's 25p on the gallon...
