My old tablet is working again! I'm really happy about that. Of all the tables that I have had over the years, this is my favorite one!! However, this is the second time that it has refused to turn on, the first time was about a year ago. So the relationship is tainted....I'm having trust issues! But for now, we have made up and are getting along well.

We still do not have our PC up and working. Dio ordered the part from an electronics company, but has no idea when it will be delivered. So, he reordered it from Amazon and it should be here today.

I only have two indoor projects today and I'm hoping to get them done quickly. The weather is beautiful outside...I want to go work on clipping back the over growth, etc!

I guess I had better get moving!

I have not been going in with him when he sees this new doctor, so I have never met him. From what I can tell, I like him. He takes care of problems right away!

(not like my Dentist who found a chipped tooth, but couldn't get me in to fix it for 6 weeks! But that's a different story.)

Starting this fall (winter?), I will be seeing this doctor, also. I'm actually looking forward to it....sad, right?!!
 
What I did last nite before bedtime……
Was out sitting on my balcony just before sleep time, at 10, saw the northern lights in full force.
Absolutely stunning……they danced around for quite some time…..couldn’t keep my eyes open past 11, so said good nite, and left them dancing by themselves.
There are several pluses with living on a top floor, 4th is mine……don’t think the lower floors would get a good view.
All the years, living in the town I moved from……never got to see them very much, or that bright.

This morning…..usual routine…..had a delivery which came today instead of tomorrow…..got a text at 6:30am, parcel will be there between 9 and 12am.
One more delivery on Friday, and that’s it for this week…..almost feels like Christmas this week…..parcels……parcels…..and more parcels.

I have a friend who saw them once and he said he was mesmerized by the whole display and it changed him forever.
What exactly he meant by that I do not know.
His wife couldn't tell me either:ROFLMAO::unsure:.
She was not as impressed..but I could imagine it would be mesmerizing.

Mizmo……mesmerized is the exact word to use for description…….I found it hard to take my eyes away from them.
It kinda puts you in a whole different place……a good place. 😊.

Gosh that is really funny coz he said practically the same thing....
......remembering vaguely....'lifted him out of his body to another place':)
 
I finally finished cleaning the blinds...a task I started last week. I only had 15 slats on the front side to go. I figured out an easier way to do it than last week. I just used paper towels sprayed with degreaser and there was no need to rinse. Needless to say the process went much faster. But one of the slats popped out because a piece came off. My son was able to pop it back in but it wouldn't stay when rotating the blinds. Good thing I have an extra box of blinds readily accessible behind the couch from which he replaced the damaged one.

I made a couple of calls...one to Harbor Freight and the other to Home Depot to find out if they had a 10 year sealed, single unit smoke and carbon monoxide detector, the new requirement by the state and management. The fire inspector that came told me exactly what to get. The Home Depot, not far from home, had it. My son picked it up after work and installed it tonight. The managing agent had called in the afternoon saying she'll (they'll) be back tomorrow. I'm glad we were able to install it today, thus avoiding a fine.

Of course I watched T.V., napped, talked with my BFF and played some games: WWF2, Mahjong, Cody Cross and Find The Difference puzzles.

@bobcat ..how long does it take to do the wood burnings? The colors look nice and add some depth to the fish.

Now is the quiet time, a time to enjoy a couple of croissants with my coffee, soon it will be frenetic. Having agreed with my tailor to take a few photos of the blazers that he has made for me, I'm off to get the MG scrubbed up.

After that, I too will get scrubbed up, then it's the drive to a place called Compton Acres, near Sandbanks, on the Dorset coast.
My tailor's studio is in The Italian Gardens, which I must show you, what a fabulous location.

Whether The Italian Gardens will be the backdrop or not, I don't know. There is a place to display a car so he might be planning on parking the MG there and have me pose alongside, as my wife points out: "You're a right poseur!" Oh dear.
 
Good morning. I didn't get up until 5 and feel like a lazy slug. Wait. Are there slugs that are ambitious? Well...if there are, I'm not one of them.

@OneEyedDiva Now that your blinds are clean, would you mind stepping over here and doing mine? I'll be home all day.

@horseless carriage Those croissants are left over from yesterday. I'm off today so there won't be any fresh out of the oven until tomorrow.

@MickaC We lived on the south shore of Lake Superior, and the northern lights were awe-inspiring every time. We'd sit on our front porch to see them, even in winter, a sight that never got old.

Okay. It's supposed to be overcast all day with rain showers this afternoon. Thinking of stuff to do indoors is challenging so I guess a turn around the garden this morning is in order. There are plenty of things to do there. Waiting for inspiration about indoors until @OneEyedDiva gets here to clean the blinds.

@Trila Yay for your PC. I wish mine didn't have to go to the "hospital" and am hoping to sweet talk DSIL into taking her in for me. Using this tablet is okay, but I like the laptop better. Guess I should count my blessings that I have a tablet at least because I for sure can't live entirely on the phone with its teeny tiny screen!

@hollydolly Did you not have any adventures yesterday? Either there weren't any photos or I missed them. I like when "we" stop at a cafe for coffee after strolling in the countryside.
