I feel for you and your well raised tomato crop…..very disheartening…..all the care that went into it.A sad day for me. We are expecting Hurricane Lee and I am being forced to chop my cherry tomato plant into pieces and then remove it from my balcony before a neighbour gets hit by a flying plant! I was expecting a bumper crop this year, now I have to bag the mutilated plant and put it in the garbage instead. It is way too big to shelter it in my front room! I removed some of the larger (relatively) tomatoes, hoping they might ripen off the vine but I am not really a gardener so nothing might happen there!
