What are you doing today 2023

Had to postpone my cat hunt due to my son getting covid, then a death in dil's family. Don't like looking at pictures, wish I could just go to a room and be surrounded by them, seeing who chooses me.

Son is anxious, vicariously, for me to get kittens and is 'pushing' me into activity.

It's the same here too and although Friday brings the beach weekenders and the traffic can be insufferable, I know a route that will get me to Compton Acres.
Have a look at the glorious gardens, she doesn't know it yet, but I'm planning to take the lady there for afternoon tea. Sitting out in the sunlit gardens is quite magical.

I just walked the dog. He met another dog, which he likes. He met a neighbor and that didn't go so well - he growled! That's very strange for my dog, but no damage done since he's always on the leash/lead and I keep him under control. I think I've only ever heard him growl two or three times, and he's 11 years old or so!

Oh that's gorgeous , I just looked at their website. I need to go and visit, my trusty camera in hand... They say the gardens are only open in Summer, so I'll have to make a concerted effort to drive down to Dorset next summer . I wish I'd know about it before.

hmmmm.. it;s always a red flag when a dog who is usually good natured growls at a human... they say they can sense things we can't. Not sure if that's correct of course, being as plenty murderers, including Hitler himself had dogs... but it's always worth paying attention when your dog takes a dislike to someone for no obvious reason..

Actually, it's a guy that moved in just a few months ago, so......... Moto (my dog) loves everyone, and usually wants to meet everyone he see's while out walking (which I don't always allow him to do, especially because - for all his sins - he sheds like mad all year around). But this guy? He wasn't having it. I just quickly moved on, especially with the crazy dog stories of recent days (not that my dog is a dangerous breed, I think he's 100 different breeds!)

Enjoy your warm day. Old man winter is not far ahead. As I recall winter there is cold and damp. Too bad we cant' save summer days and then open their package at Christmas time. That would be a refreshing and unusual gift for that time of year.:cool:

There are so many dog owners who walk in my neighborhood that I people have learned to make wide distances between them for the sake of their dogs. Thus the streets and sidewalks ar full of walkers and their dogs. It is best to wait until late morning after all have gone to work for those without dogs to take their morning walk. Dog walkers make the neighborhood a very adventurous place in early morning.

We can do that at the Humane Society here. They have the Cat Room where the cats go to lounge and interact.

My friend/neighbor across the hall had picked out a black cat from the online pictures and went to see him. Well, that black cat stayed up on a shelf and paid no attention to the visitors. Another cat, white with patches on him, got on the back of her chair and started pawing her shoulders. I am sure you know which one she adopted......he is the best cat! I love to hear him meowing when she leaves her apartment. Always waiting at her door when he hears the elevator.
 
Good morning earlywormer's !!! Got a decent nite of sleep,
from 10 to 530, thats more like normal for me...getting ready
to eat a bite, and then at 10am my caregiver is giving me a
ride to my bank, only abt 3/4 miles down the road, and will see
if I can get my online access back for the bank...sure hope so....

On my early walk at 6:30 to buy today's NYT was a tad nippy, 53
I haven't slept well the past 2 nights with a head cold ,it came out of the blue whenever I get one I'm congested but I have no sore throat or fever. I sound like Kermit the Frog
I've just returned from Walgreens where my dr's nurse practioner got me a script for Z pak ,antibotic which always helps me,will be taking it for next 5 days

@MickaC We lived on the south shore of Lake Superior, and the northern lights were awe-inspiring every time. We'd sit on our front porch to see them, even in winter, a sight that never got old.

Okay. It's supposed to be overcast all day with rain showers this afternoon. Thinking of stuff to do indoors is challenging so I guess a turn around the garden this morning is in order. There are plenty of things to do there. Waiting for inspiration about indoors until @OneEyedDiva gets here to clean the blinds.

@Trila Yay for your PC. I wish mine didn't have to go to the "hospital" and am hoping to sweet talk DSIL into taking her in for me. Using this tablet is okay, but I like the laptop better. Guess I should count my blessings that I have a tablet at least because I for sure can't live entirely on the phone with its teeny tiny screen!

@hollydolly Did you not have any adventures yesterday? Either there weren't any photos or I missed them. I like when "we" stop at a cafe for coffee after strolling in the countryside.

Enjoy your early autumn walk. Fall has not yet arrived to my location. It isn't noticeable until mid October, usually. But, I really don't have a sense of it until Halloween. That's when the orange and black decorations come out. A fun time of year with the kids in the neighborhood. Everyone comes outside rather than inside at their games and internet. Nice to see how much kids have changed since last Halloween when I saw them last. Kids growing up is a good way to mark time.

After going through a blood pressure crash down and loss of iron for nearly a week now, I'm still on the slow and taking it easy.

Haven't done much more than going out twice with daughter for food for us and kitty plus prescription earlier. Otherwise, been napping quite a lot, it takes quite a lot of energy out.

The phone's been staying off, no important calls anyway. Glad that fridge and freezer full for 3 weeks plus and kitty has his 2-1/2 months wet food supply. Got a bargain on Fairy Dish Liquids with Natural Scents, 2 for 1.

We used to buy the cheapest but never lasted and was harsh on hands, didn't get rid of grease either. Since we've switched to Fairy, I've only bought two huge bottles called "Max Power" so not bad in nearly 16 months. That great stuff lasts and lasts. Does the job, smells lovely too.

Had a warm day today but as the week back to Monday has been weird. The sun in particular 🌞 seem unable to make up its mind. It was "I'm coming out, then again, I'm hiding behind clouds again..."

Been a mixture of white clouds in blue sky, then grey sky. Rain, cold, dry, hot. Typical for Scotland but surprising no less lol!

Completed to-do list so long workload from next week. Enjoying travelling from armchair just now through YouTube.
 
The bakery lights turned on as I approached this morning, and I was greeted by a sh!tshow:poop: of epic proportions:poop::poop::poop::poop:. Everything I left unfinished on Wednesday was there waiting to be done. Kroger says "Fresh For Everyone." Mmhmm.

The only baking that got done today was croissants. Yup. Dozens and dozens of cookies, pastries, breads, rolls? Nope. Croissants. Because Wednesday's work had to be finished.

Chihuahua! I'm home now and glad of it.

It's a lovely cool day. Cool, I say. Right now, at noon it's 67F! Yippee...as the days go by in September we're closer and closer to Drop (other people call it Autumn, but I call it Drop because it's when the leaves Drop off the trees) and being able to turn off the a/c.
