This is the little girl I'm trying to meet:
Photo of Betty #0
Awwww, she is adorable. Looks so sad, I think she needs you. Why do they take so long when their kittens need a home now?

After my walk this morning, I did my household chores including vacuuming. Funny how Rabbit is scared of loud noises, but I can vacuum right up to where he is sleeping and he doesn't even move. No, he is used to any noises I make.

Now I am making my supper, chicken thighs with Buffalo wing sauce. I have to remember to take a picture of it for my keto group on fakebook. They feature the members' food pictures on their YouTube videos.......my half a second of fame! :)

I did a little shop at local grocery, picked up prescriptions, they told me they are moving to another location in a huge Mall which does not sit well with me at all. However they said they would deliver. I should hope so. Been with them for 25 years!

That pooped me out so been doing my favourite thing. Watched 'The Suspicions of Mr Whicher' , great British stuff.
Now I am wondering what to have for dinner.
@hollydolly....dang!...those chubby chips you had yesterday are haunting me.....oh well some soup and a sandwich...duh:rolleyes:

Well, it's almost ten o'clock and in another twelve hours Hurricane Lee is going to take dead aim at us. So, if you don't hear from me for a while you'll know that the power is out! Most of us will be physically okay since it's a category 1 storm now but hurricanes are never pleasant! So, keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

Well that was surprising. Woke up to take a pee around 1 a.m. but I couldn't find my balance to sit up in bed. But holding on to furniture and walls I made it into the bathroom but then overwhelming nausea dictated I abandon peeing for what seemed more urgent. But no vomit issued forth. So I found a nausea pill left over from an earlier operation took it and got back to sleep for a while.

But twice more I got up to do the usual bathroom run just to have the same vertigo and nausea. In the morning I called an intake nurse who spoke to an ER doctor who told me to come in. Spent about four hours making sure I hadn't had a stroke and indeed I didn't. Probably something I ate but why the vertigo? Don't know but I'm hoping for a more normal night tonight. Being seventy isn't boring.

I sure can relate, @MarkD ... I had vertigo in June, complete with room spinning and waves of nausea if I turned my head the wrong way. Wouldn't wish it on anyone! Thankfully, my chiropractor doing the Epley maneuver one time stopped it.

Several hours writing HTML in Notepad to update my website today. Been slowly working on it since this weekend with the first couple days all image Photoshop work. One page with 18 images is now complete with one more to code before uploading lots of files. A few breaks away from coding poking about the web like right now. Spent an hour late morning shooting basketballs with my around the key solo game.

Today was a busy day that tired me out, so I took a longer than anticipated nap in the early evening. I went downstairs and did laundry about 3:45 a.m. and for once I started drying my clothes before sunrise. It finally dawned on me that it's unlikely my neighbors can hear my dryer, which is in the kitchen. I put almost all of the clothes away, something that usually doesn't happen on laundry day.

I had a brief conversation with my BFF and did some online stuff while waiting to see if my 2nd package from Amazon would arrive at the hub today. Luckily it did before noon. First I headed downtown to the "99 cent" store to get a new bag for my new system of bringing the laundry upstairs....a fresh garbage bag into smaller bags with handles, instead of the big, bulky plaid laundry bags. While I was in there an irate customer was cursing and threatening to beat the hell out of the cashier because he didn't want to accept a return that the man said was damaged when he bought it. I'm glad the issue was cleared up before I got to the register.

Then picked up my packages from the hub and walked to the supermarket to get a few items. There I met a woman and we had a very interesting conversation about spirituality versus organized religion, politics, why she doesn't vote and why I do, not being judgmental of others, our diabetes diagnosis and management. We talked for quite awhile when I complimented her on her beautiful skin. She thanked me saying I made her day because she's been depressed due to some family issues and her living situation. I told her I hope things get better and to be kind to herself.

Then I mentioned my music, which has been referred to as "soul soothing" and she told me to write my website on her soda box (I didn't have my cards with me) because she loves music and is anxious to hear my songs. She also said she felt she learned a lot from me. We wound up exchanging numbers. Here's the amazing part...even though our names are not common by any stretch...they are almost the same! The first two syllables are identical...hers just has one letter mine doesn't and is missing an additional syllable which mine has.

We were so engrossed in conversation, I wound up being out longer than I had planned, but luckily traffic hadn't gotten crazy yet. When it does, it's hard to even cross the street. I didn't do all I had planned..I never do...but I think today was a good, productive day.

I'm so sorry you went through that Mark. I'm sure that was very disconcerting. I hope the cause has been found and treated.

Off to Colwyn Bay 🏉
You are a Rugby fan!

My wife and I can't travel as much as we used to but when The Saints are playing within an hour's drive we still like to go along to support them.

Last night we saw The Jive Aces at The Verwood Hub. Today we shall see them on a float in The Ringwood Carnival. There are two processions, one at two pm and the other three hours later at five. Later still, at nine thirty there's a firework display, following that there's an open air concert in Ringwood town centre. Fingers crossed for good weather.

I'm up and will be at 'em in a few minutes, ready to go forth and attack the day. Fine. I'm ready to lick my weight in wildcats. It'll be interesting to find out what happened after I left yesterday:rolleyes:

I prepped three racks of breads, rolls and breakfast sweets and put them in the cooler before I left yesterday. IIRC, there are 14 trays to a rack, and all three racks were full. They'll be ready to roll into the proofer when I get to work. An hour to proof, time to bake and cool, package, set out on the shelves and tables all by 9am...the work is definitely waiting for me.

It's supposed to rain today. Do we believe them? Pfffft. At least even without rain, it's going to be another cool day, maybe only to the mid-70s. I can handle it!

Y'all have a great morning and behave until I get home. Would somebody please vacuum and dust for me before I get back? Oh, and there's a sink full of dishes that want to be washed. Would you get that done, too?

Good to hear you got relief that way. I happen to be seeing a chiropractor now about my sciatic nerve so I’ll mention it Tuesday. But I spent 4 hours in ER making sure I hadn’t had a stroke and indeed I did not. But what the cause was they don’t know. Possibly something I ate but I also had a long walk and did a lot of garden work after that the day before so who knows. The good news is tonight I’ve had no more symptoms. Unfortunately my sleep hasn’t been good but I got a lot during my night of vertigo.

I’m with you wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Just a horrible feeling.

Day 1 of the weekend……nothing earth crashing on the adgenda.

But…..
Yesterday I had my first experience with getting a parcel through Canada post.

Below our mail boxes in the lobby……there are 4 large boxes, about 16inches square……when we have a item that doesn’t fit in our boxes……a key with a number on it, is left in our box, which allows you to open the box with that # on it……just like magic, and there’s your parcel.

Lock that box and slip the key for it through the slot.

All my other deliveries have been Fed Ex and Purolator.

Have another Canada Post one coming on Thursday.

Now…..better go find something to do…..my Fitbit said told me…..TIME TO MOVE. 🤪😜🥴🚴‍♀️🧗‍♀️🤸‍♀️🏌️‍♀️.

Beautiful cool morning, 45 degrees again today when I got up. I opened the window a little bit to get some fresh air in here for Rabbit. He seems to like it. My plan for today, take a morning walk then come back to fix breakfast. After that I might go to the Grand Union on Jazzy. Other than that I have no idea.
