What are you doing today 2023

Got up later than usual today so just having my first cup of coffee right now. Have to do some laundry and food prep a package of chicken wings today. Not going to walk today since my knee is not working. 19 degrees, sun is shining in my windows but it did snow during the night.

I did grocery shopping yesterday, today will be laundry and change the a/c filter, it dawned on me this morning that I'm way behind on this chore...I need to look for a reminder app....lol...I did get my new big 'senior clock' up and going and I love it...no excuses now about forgetting what day it is.

Well I'd just got the washing in the machine when I got a call from my friend at the farm down the lane to tell me one of her Ewes had given birth last night... so I quickly drove over and got the cutest picture ever.. just a few hours old.. 🥰

Saturday is my busy day, and my back still hurts (although it is getting better), so I'll do just 30 minutes of exercise.

After lunch I'll try getting the sNOw off my car. It might not be possible, because of my back.

Then I'll meet my language partner. We usually do about 45 minutes of Spanish, and then chat in English for half an hour or so. He's a really special person; I'm glad I met him.

After that (assuming I dealt with the sNOw and am driving), I might go to the thrift store or the grocery store, or do other errands. I usually only go out once a week, so I like to make the most of it.

Then home to read a few more pages of Schopenhauer, talk to my other language partner via Telegram, and read in bed for a few hours.

Current mystery is The Last House on Needless Street. Whatever else might be said about it, it's different, which I appreciate. I get tired of the formulaic ones, where we're supposed to be interested in the characters' boring lives.

Just out the shower, so hair's still wet. Watching and helping daughter collating her orders for Avon earlier. Now, we're playing Spyro on Xbox One. Love that wee purple dragon.

Putting finishing touches to groceries list with the never ending, "forgot to pick it up on regular day" or "it wasn't available in the store I went too!"

We'll have dinner around 9 and planning a few rounds of Asphalt Legends on Xbox afterwards...

@hollydolly I ♥️ those babies! There's a little tourist-y town about 50 miles from my hometown in Michigan called Ewen. I always thought a crafty sort of tourist shop there would be a big hit. It could be called "Ewenique"... They could play background music "Ewe, Ewe, Ewe, I'm in love with Ewe, Ewe, Ewe..."

That's today's attempt at a play on words.

Sir left the schedule as is and is going to work all day tomorrow, then go back at midnight to take inventory🥱🥱🥱 because he wants to be off Saturday and Sunday next week. That means his long weekend would actually start on Friday, his usual day off.

Okay. I can live with it. Maybe I can get the whole weekend off after that. Gonna try.

And...he scheduled New Lady to work next Saturday😯 What? Saturday? She says she can't work weekends. Hope it doesn't interfere with her "catering business";)

It was so cold here last night. So. Cold. 28F🥶 It's sunny and 53 now, and we're promised a warmer and sunny day tomorrow and most of the week. By Thursday, if the forecast can be believed, it will be 81F here. Riiiiight.

So right now what I'm doing is laundry. In order for it all to get done, I had to resort to putting on my jammies. Yup. 2:20pm and I'm in my jammies:D It's called casual, at-home wear.

Oh @hollydolly
that is a fantastic photo!
I love it, so much.:giggle::love:(y)
In addition to capturing them at that moment, which is wonderful, it's an award-winning photo, in my opinion!

Thanks again, for sharing it with us here!
That wonderful photo, taken by you @hollydolly
also reminded me of my having enjoyed seeing the very young baby lambs, at a farm, several times, years ago. It was great to see those miracles, but that was many years ago now.
Your photos still amaze me,
even though I know you take excellent ones, which I always enjoy!:giggle::geek:
Good decision you made, to make the effort to rush over there, today! :)

Today is a cool sunny day. I watered my new plants this morning and did some laundry. This afternoon I am taking it easy. Late afternoon, my husband will go to an outdoor car show. I am debating if I will join him. The show is located in a quaint little square full of many nice small shops. So I could look around again....or I just could stay home with the cats! Decisions, decisions...

I agree; It truly does! Enter it someplace, for sure!
And some of your others, too.
That might be a fun and interesting new hobby, the enterings itself....and one that we could follow of yours, and submit our votes for winners, if they have any!🏆🥇

Not sure if you'd need to split the prize money with us, then! 😄😁☺️

I was in a near-total funk, this morning, :confused::rolleyes:
when suddenly seeing your photo post, lifted my spirits.
Again.

🥰🤗...awww how lovely that I managed to lift your spirits today.. so pleased.. Just tell me when you need me again...

@hollydolly I'm gonna climb on the bandwagon and encourage you to send your pix off... to whomever/wherever...to get them published.

They're always "framed" so well that my eye is always drawn to whatever the subject is meant by you to be. Love them. Love the contrasts. Love the colors.

Do it. Heck, you might get rich, and we can all say we knew you when...

Go and have a good time, @Rossana 🥳

Those are both nice options. Wandering in the Square while browsing in small shops, or staying home with the cats (and being like a cat :love: )
I wonder which one you ended up doing.:)

Well.. I think that there are so many amateur photographers around these days with Iphones not sure anyone would be interested in mine... BUT.. tomorrow I may send this particular photo to a few newspapers, and magazines ..

What you said at first in this post, I know it's true, but......
people still do love striking photos, and yours certainly are that.
And this one, of the Ewes' First Morning;
is striking, and would stand out in a crowd of photos.
Both due to the subject, and the perfection of the photo. Worth sending!

I also imagine that many people would grab them up, if you had some of your photos for sale, including that one, at a community fair of any kind.
Do they have Sidewalk Art Festivals, there, in the summertime?
