What are you doing today 2023

Remind me again why I said I'd work today. Oh, yeah. It's because I'd walk on hot coals for Sir and don't want him to have to work an entire weekend alone. Got it. Maybe I'll get lucky and get next weekend off. Or not.

It'll probably be raining by the time I get home today so there won't be any sitting outside to admire the birds at the feeder.

And I don't have time to eat a scone before I leave. Drat. It's something to look forward to when I get home.

Decided to go for a coastal walk this morning, but it was very windy so instead we went for a walk through the grounds of Duff House in Banff. This is a grand house built in the mid 1700's and has had a varied history since then. At times it served as a hotel, a sanatorium, a prisoner of war camp, the HQ of the Free Norwegian forces during WW2 and since 1995, part of the National Galleries of Scotland.

Today our Son is coming up so that Mrs Oy can help him with his annual tax return. Nothing like last minute - he has a whole three days left before the deadline. I though I was pushing it doing mine the first week in January :ROFLMAO:

We'll be going out for lunch when they arrive - and when the fiddly tax stuff starts I'll think of some reason to grab a camera and naff off for a few hours 😇

This morning, after breakfast going to walk with my friend. We do laps of our hall and right now I can't do more than 8. One complete lap is about 200 feet. Considering before I started doing this I was not able to walk this long or length without stopping. I think it helps me. Especially the Lymphedema. Though not sure it helps my knees but at least I am mobile even though I need my walker to do it.

After that I am going to place an order with Instacart. After that, I will see what happens.

I did something good for myself by mistake. I elevated my feet above my heart for 15 minutes on Friday. Yesterday, I did it for more time. It has relieved some of my pain, in my legs & lower back. It gave relief! Not overwhelmingly so, but I'll take it!

Thanks for the compliments, I'm very stuffed. The couple behind me have quite a few gadgets and cookware. There's big 36' long RV's down to 17' mini's some are equipped with gas stoves, ovens. The bigger ones with microwaves.

I have a gas stove. It's quite functional and it's two burner, so yes, I could have done chili with this. I'll remember that.

This was a "Wild Hair" recipe I found on the internet. I looked at the amounts, decided to double the amount (2 boxes of jiffy cornbread) and with everything. It was 1/2" below the rim of the batter bowl.

Very lucky result all around. Will do it again next month, need recovery time.
Are you in an RV park with water, power and bathrooms, or do you boondock?

Heard the sound of a helicopter getting louder and louder. Went outside and saw an air ambulance landing in the field behind our house. Looked round the front and saw an ambulance and a lot of the neighbours standing around. No idea what has happened to whom, but the opinion was that this was the most exciting thing since the last time when an air ambulance landed on the village playing field.

It was obviously something pretty serious had happened to a neighbour and I hope they're getting the necessary treatment and will be OK.

Welp, I ate my sausage gravy and biscuits today
Share! I love biscuits and sausage gravy!

I'm home from the croissant wars, even ducked out 10 minutes early because. Not everything got done, but what was left would take far more than 10 minutes.

Tomorrow I have the pleasure of working with New Lady. Sir is off tomorrow but said that it's okay to just have her do the simple stuff rather than trying to teach her anything since she'll be gone soon with her hip or knee or whatever surgery. If she does the simple but necessary stuff (aka scut work!), it'll free me up to get the important stuff done.

The rain that was supposed to start at noon isn't predicted now until 2ish. Fine.

@hollydolly A day or two ago you asked me a question that I forgot to answer. I don't remember what it was and don't remember what thread it was on. Ack.
Bless it, @Georgiagranny, I'm glad I'm not the only one that does that, haha.

Home from church through dreary, raw drizzle (say that fast three times! ha) to the space heater at my feet, 15 bean soup with a little shredded sharp cheddar cheese sprinkled on top and now I'm sipping the last cup of Barry's Irish Tea from this AM's pot. Lovely =D

I seem to be going through changes in my reading habits/likes. I've never liked *really* suspenseful or books with a lot of violence but even mild suspense just seems to put me in an anxious, uncomfortable place =( Got a few books that I've had to put aside for a while like that; good thing I have a choice of classics I keep at the house, which I can pick up at anytime and just settle into like a comfy, overstuffed chair.

Y'all stay warm and ((hugs)) to all who are alone and needing company. Wish I could be there for you.
