Do you think a lot of the shopping is for Easter gatherings? It's just past 2pm... the rain has stopped now, but it rained all the way to London and most of the way back. I stopped of at M&S and got some pineapple tarts...
You wouldn't believe there's a recession on.. M&S foodhall was jam packed... and to give those of who don't know.. M&S food is at least a 3rd more than most other supermarkets...
where are you going ?... I wish I was going somewhere but only mad people go on holiday at Easter time.. have you seen the Queues at the ports where the French protesters ( all over an extra 2 years retirement age proposal) are stopping anyone getting through, and BA have cancelled 20 flights just today that may fly over French air space ?cold sunny day here, been sorting clothes out for hols in 12 days,,as i have lost some weight lately,i found some of my trousers fit again lol,
a few shirts to iron,
as i have a load of chives up in garden,,its cheese and chive omelette for tea tonight
Possibly.. but there's many more affordable supermarkets...Do you think a lot of the shopping is for Easter gatherings?

Love this. ♥I need to tell my mind to F off.
I did all my shopping yesterday for that reason .Thursday morning is my usual grocery shopping time, but I'm not going into any store until after Easter. It will probably be a madhouse until Monday.
This is why I choose to sleep at the front of the house. Altho' I have a large tree at the front... the birds don't sit in it for long.. but in the back garden, I have many more trees and of course I have the bird feeders hanging from them, so the birds start squawking and singing as soon as there's a glimpse of light, which currently is at 6.15amThe birdies woke me up around 5:30,even with the window closed I heard them, there is a big tree right outside my window. I did manage to go back to sleep for 45 min.
On my early morning walk at 6:30,temp was 45 walked to convient store to buy local paper
My long walk of the day was strolling to Walgreens which is 6 blocks from my apt building. This was the 1st time I could walk without any pain in my right knee-cortisone shot is working It took me 25 min {which is how long it usually takes me}. I bought a couple items, then walked another block to grocery store,Price Right, got 4 items, then took the bus home
I'm about to take another short walk to the mailbx at the end of my street,no other plans except read NYT/local paper, my book. Tonight I'll watch 'Barnwood Builders' on Magnolia network, at 9pm I discovered this show one evening when I was 'channel surfing' during Covid, after 1 episode I was hooked, something different
Your exercise is inspiring mine. ♥Yesterday I managed 15 minutes of exercise. I also went out on the balcony several times, just briefly (because it was cold).
I've been trying to figure out how to make the most of my balcony. I had considered using some of my exercise equipment out there, but then I'd want to put up a privacy screen, which I've decided not to do.
So I've come up with some no-equipment exercises I can do on the balcony, more or less discreetly: hamstring curls, calf raises, side and rear leg raises, and a few others. I can also do some leg straightening (for quadriceps) while lying in my gravity chair.
I know from experience that this kind of exercise alone is not enough for me. But it's fine as an "extra," and will encourage me to spend more time on the balcony.
Other than that ... I have yet to figure out the telescope.
Try to increase my indoor exercise a bit.
Talk to my language partner this evening.
I do that all the time……on the couch……fall asleep…..get up and go to bed.I'm sleepy. So sleepy that it might be necessary to take a nap before I go to bed![]()
I love this! I wish there was something similar in my little town.Just came from the library in the next town … they are starting a mystery book club!! Yay! First read is “Maisie Dobbs” by J Winspear— can’t wait!
