In my downtime, I transcribe historical documents for the Library of Congress or the Smithsonian Institute. Basically they have scanned old documents and you type them. You can type just a word, a sentence, a paragraph or a page. It's a volunteer job and it's really interesting and educational. I have transcribed playbills, phyllis diller jokes, civil war diaries, theodore roosevelt campaign notes, fine art, things about science, space, etc. If you google either of those sites, you can register a name and start typing. If you are better at proofreading, you can do that too.
