He's mostly interested in people walking past and (of course) the little snacks DH slowly doles out. Oyster crackers are a current fave. He also likes to hold something while in the cart. This time it was a large container of Italian spices.
 
DS's family is coming over for a few hour visit this afternoon and leaving toddler grandson with us overnight. We requested doing this once a fortnight or so. Keeps him accustomed to sleeping here sometimes and gives his parents a free night and a leisurely following morning.

Tomorrow we'll see DD's family for several hours and Monday we're seeing other DS & DDIL plus her parents, with whom we've become quite good friends.

So in three days we'll be having long visits with each of our three kids and their beloveds. So fortunate to have close relationships with all and that they nearby. ♥️
 
I went out this morning about 6 after being up all night. Visited 2 grocery stores to stock up on meat for the freezer, milk and dog food. Now I am home, on the couch, feeling quite ill. I just can't even deal with the heat, just that short outing has made me sick. At least I should not have to go out for a week or more.
 
I'm a little concerned. I woke up this morning to an unfamiliar noise.. and upon investigation the noise was coming from my electric shower.. the sort of noise it makes when it's on... so I turned it off at the socket and turned it back on again.. and it stopped. That was 8 hours ago... now a few minutes ago, suddenly a very loud thumping started like the power pump has a very loud heartbeat..Boom-Boom-Boom-Boom... again I had to go and investigate because I thought it was coming from someone outside.. So again, I turned it off and on again at the plug on the wall, and it's stopped... but I have no idea what's going on.

This is when I miss my husband more keenly , he would know exactly how to deal with this.. :(

Sounds like a plumber may be necessary.
Have you Googled the problem?
 
This evening Canadian grunge band Nickelback at local outdoor venue concert. Expect to try buying walk up ticket from box office that looks like just $36 for grass lawn ticket. This morning will visit local park and shoot basketballs for an hour.
 
Continuing with hanging up pics……ran out of the large hangers, so I will continue with those pics when I get more of those hangers.
So, today I started hanging my copper leaf collection……started collecting these in 1988, and they’re still looking great…..will finish those later today or tomorrow…..had enough of the climbing up and down for today.
Looking like home…..feels like home.

Of course, still keeping up our walks….daily greetings from most, and talking sessions often….Micki’s always ready to ham it up for attention.

Life is good in the neighbourhood.😊😊😊.
 
Dont like any alcoholic drinks here prefer limeade as my choice, also hate sports on tv (no sports watched on tv by friends tonight) my home my rules here. or in person especially football, not bald nor fat just lost 35+ pounds since 4/6 my surgery date, in fact today I am wearing a shirt I was gifted about 10 years back for the 1st time perfect fit now. I saved it for a special time and today is it we are having friends over for a late 7/4 meal about 25 invited my normal group of folks, mostly all retired LE & doctors with a few pilots included coming, we have over 20 for sure already many from other countries,( I love it when they speak in their native languages.) especially German. All were assigned something to bring and as always cleanup around 9pm hopefully gone by 10 except for those staying the night with us. As always SGT DL my best friend will run the show from her mobility scooter. I will get a few pictures and post them tonight or tomorrow.
