Modest distance of urban street walking just like yesterday. Sunday mostly dancing at evening rock concert plus 3 miles walking from parking.

Leaves left on the ground benefit the insects, so thank you.Just some yard work. Brought in the yard waste bin, gathered fallen twigs and put them in the firepit, mowed/mulched fallen leaves on 2/3 of the back yard. I'm ringed in by very tall and mature trees so I stay busy with that crap this time of year. No solar power to speak of or OTA TV via antenna here.
Leaf disposal is getting hairy. We can't burn them, we can only put so much on the curb for pickup each week, and there are too many left over to compost effectively. Leaf pickup stops before the first snow, leaving me piles I have to wait and then bag up in the Spring once pickup resumes.
The trees are now so big and close to houses and wires that even cutting them down is dicey and pricy.
Selfish whinge, please play your tiny violins for me:
I'm on diuretics and I think that's why I get really dry mouth when I work outside. Well, that and too much nasal congestion leading to far too much mouth breathing. So I suck on a small sugar-free mint, which seems to help both issues.
