Tom Selleck did a series of "Jesse Stone" movies that are excellent. Selleck plays a divorced, aloholic, chief of police in a small town named "Paradise." Try one and I'm certain you'll watch the whole series. We watched all of them and honestly, I wish there were more. In order:I am getting desperate for something more appealing to watch but it seems most movies nowadays are about darker subjects. I started to watch a Harry Potter movie again last night, from sheer desperation. Tried Rom-Coms the other day and got myself a stinker, so that soured me on that genre for now!
Ah, we think alike, @Rich! I watched them all and loved them! At present I am reading all the Spenser books again by the same author and when I'm done I'll switch to Jesse Stone!Tom Selleck did a series of "Jesse Stone" movies that are excellent. From Mike Judge, one of the creative minds behind Beavis and Butt-Head, King of the Hill, and Office Space, comes an outrageous sci-fi comedy that'll make you think twice about the future of mankind. Meet Joe Bowers (Luke Wilson). He's not the sharpest tool in the shed. But when a government hibernation experiment goes awry, Bowers awakens in the year 2505 to find a society so dumbed-down by mass commercialism and mindless TV programming that he's become the smartest guy on the planet. Now it's up to an average Joe to get human evolution back on track! Filled with razor-sharp sarcasm and outrageous sight gags, Idiocracy will make you laugh out loud whether you're an absolute genius or a complete idiot!
