Paul taught hundreds of people about God. This is where he taught that God lived. In 1 Corinthians 6:19, he writes, "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?" This indicates that believers are the dwelling place of God through the Holy Spirit. Additionally, in Ephesians 2:22, he describes the church as "built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord; and in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit."
Does that sound like a sales pitch?. You can have God living right there is your heart. Plus we throw in the Holy Spirit to be with you always. Quite a deal. All you have to do is "Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah." Whatever the Blah's, the better the outcome. God always with you now, living within your body. This is very much like the present "Christian" doctrine for most all the churches.
