Where does God live?

What did I misunderstand? You claim he was a great salesman. He sold Jesus to thousands of people. He wasn't even selling the good Jesus, but some knock off. The story that he tells of Jesus, is just one that attracted believers.
Guess I got put off as I sensed antagonism coming from your post. Perhaps, hopefully, I'm wrong about that.

And yes, the apostles without Jesus were not successful and Christianity needed Saul, the salesman, to make the hype.

Paul taught hundreds of people about God. This is where he taught that God lived. In 1 Corinthians 6:19, he writes, "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?" This indicates that believers are the dwelling place of God through the Holy Spirit. Additionally, in Ephesians 2:22, he describes the church as "built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord; and in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit."

Does that sound like a sales pitch?. You can have God living right there is your heart. Plus we throw in the Holy Spirit to be with you always. Quite a deal. All you have to do is "Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah." Whatever the Blah's, the better the outcome. God always with you now, living within your body. This is very much like the present "Christian" doctrine for most all the churches.
still happens to be true too!

Well after 600 posts we have come full circle to the general answer that God lives in your heart but nothing further. Is this speaking of the heart muscle, in your blood, in the nerves, in the brain, or where? One could say that it's like a smell in a kitchen, it's everywhere as an odor.

However, odors are gasses, and they have mass. Even a fart weighs 10 - 400mL (Personally I wouldn't trust the ones on the upper end of that scale, just sayin', and how in the world did anyone get that job of weighing those things, but the good news is that, yes, you do lose weight with each rump roar - you're welcome).

Sorry, where was I goin' with that. Oh yes ...... if God lives in part of your body, does he have mass. As far as we know, everything in the universe is either matter or energy, and matter can be converted to energy (If you light a fart, you have combustion - don't ask me how I know).

So, to the question, does God living in your heart / mind have mass, or is it/he energy. If he is energy, then is there more energy in the brain of a believer than non-believer. If God is neither matter nor energy, then how is it/he detected by your senses?

AI :
According to the Bible, the Holy Spirit is not made of physical substances but is a divine person, part of the Trinity, which includes God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is fully God, co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Son. He is distinct from the Father and the Son in that He proceeds from the Father (and, according to some traditions, from the Father and the Son).23

The Holy Spirit is often described through metaphors and symbols that help to understand His actions and presence. For example, water signifies the Holy Spirit's action in Baptism, and anointing symbolizes the Holy Spirit's empowerment.2

In summary, the Holy Spirit is not composed of physical elements but is a divine being with a mind, emotions, and will, as evidenced by His ability to think, know, be grieved, and intercede.

Does that answer your questions? :)

Many of us don't detect Him, it's embarrassing.
Maybe the Holy Spirit has neither mass nor energy, or maybe too slight to be detected. Maybe, like the soul, or the seat of personality, it's just there, a part of us, whether developed or undeveloped.
What we can't explain today, maybe we can explain tomorrow.
As Scarlett says, tomorrow IS another day.

Well, if God is not composed of physical substances, then it sounds like energy.

As for the emotions, it seems that believers are divided on that. Some feel that their God has emotions (Anger, sorrow, regret, fear, love, jealousy, envy, surprise, and at least a dozen others), while others believe that their God is never changing and therefore couldn't experience emotions, which creates a problem because it also gives love the boot.

Science says it's the change in neurotransmitter chemicals in the brain that shape our emotions (If there are no neurons, and no chemicals, there is nothing to shape the emotions). On the surface, it does seem hard to imagine any God being surprised, or in fear, or envious, but perhaps that concept may need revision, or at least some further thought anyway.

The nature of the Holy Spirit is a difficult one for this person to speculate about. I've answered that in the past. Jesus and the Bible when relating God's nature, consistently makes a point of stating it has to do with special "spirit water". Rather strange since it rarely otherwise bothers to discuss physical science. I will speculate that the Holy Spirit per below as an electromagnetic energy field with special water molecules, is at least one intelligent entity of the "Trinity" that existed before the current universe.

As such it could easily exist within the electrolyte fluids of our human bodies. It may be that the "special water" contains a kind of matter from before our universe that has much smaller structural elements than atoms but above the Planck size and into which when attached to that water, provides a kind of intelligent global field control.

Jhn 3:4>7
Nicodemus *said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” 3:5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 3:6 “
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 3:7 “Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 3:8 “The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

What might the Christian god and spirit be physically?

...One thing that Jesus talks about in verses with the Samaritan woman is special water that he gives where one will never again be thirsty. That may indeed be something about the physical nature of a spirit container. After all water is the major base component of our nervous system. Water is a simple very small yet incredible molecule with unusual properties in sum unlike any other elemental molecules.

One most important facet is bipolar polarization, due to its electron fields, that allows it to dissolve many other chemicals by opening bonds between atoms in molecules. Another is the fact frozen water floats instead of sinking like almost every other element. Yet another is it is abundant in the universe. The incredible properties of water as though they are fine tuned, are one of the most compelling arguments for intelligent design...

I love the metaphoric language found in so many books of the collection of Hebrew and Christian writings. They provoke thought and introspection. The language of science and mathematics is dry because it has an entirely different purpose. In one hand I hold science and maths, and in the other I grasp religion and philosophy (my metaphor). I am at a point in my life where I can happily live with paradox.

Hard to know what Jesus may have meant, but given the context where he was asked, "How can a man enter again into his mother's womb and be born again", then Jesus replied that he must be born of the water and the spirit. It would seem to mean water birth (As when a woman's water breaks), and a spirit birth.

I didn't take it as anything about "special water", but it is a vague answer, so who knows.

He was talking about baptism and the descent of the Holy Spirit?

thank you for at last some intelligent discourse - I think it's something in your name that does it - to us none so called scientists you have helped us cross the great divide - parted the waves to allow the crossing but hold back the rowdies!

This scripture with the Samaritan woman at the well, clarifies Jesus was talking about special water that can be drunk. It also bears on Heaven as a "Kingdom of God".

Jhn 3:5
Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Jhn 4:13>14
Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again;
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

And further, this Old Testament scripture describes God as an intelligent glowing cloud that may actually have been God's holy spirit form and as such provides some argument for my speculation on its nature.

Exodus 40:34-38 relates God's presence above the Tabernacle:
Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle ... And throughout all their journeys whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel would set out; but if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out until the day when it was taken up ... the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in it by night...

I would suggest that the first three paragraphs above form the basis of our modern day [and through the ages of course] church baptism of either babes or adults. However it doesn't necessarily appear to confer magical powers as we can all attest- the God clause always kicks in - " but I give you free will"...
