that is the point if you can get a story out there regardless of IF it happened ......in todays world how many would see if ever a retraction ?
This is an example of the death of real news and mistrust of "journalists" ....

That means that all then press and TV News over here were duped,
I got the story from a newspaper and the link from Google, where
there were many links to different newspapers.

In any effort to be first or on the "hot" story............... many did not do any basic background checks on any red flags....
This is happening more and more ..... i honestly do not think we have real editors anymore that say can we confirm this?
Many might have been pressed into running story from a follow the crowd .............if more and more outlets run with story.............. they Assume the first or second or how ever many did the due diligence

As i hear it .... it sounds like the whole thing might be B/S.

IMO, the child [10yr/old] should be protected at all cost. If there is any hint of truth to the story ? the first consideration should be the health of that child. The second consideration should be to guard against the explotation of her.

This whole thing sounds like someone pushing an agenda ..... and in no way should that be permitted to continue.

Which is the reason the details of her case cannot be made public.

I'm not doubting the veracity of the story, but how can I know if it's truthful for sure? I can't, just offering up a motive as to why this case must remain shrouded.

A Columbus man has been charged with impregnating a 10-year-old Ohio girl, whose travel to Indiana to seek an abortion led to international attention following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v Wade and activation of Ohio's abortion law.

Gershon Fuentes, 27, whose last known address was an apartment on Columbus' Northwest Side, was arrested Tuesday after police say he confessed to raping the child on at least two occasions. He's since been charged with rape, a felony of the first degree in Ohio.

Columbus police were made aware of the girl's pregnancy through a referral by Franklin County Children Services that was made by her mother on June 22, Det. Jeffrey Huhn testified Wednesday morning at Fuentes' arraignment. On June 30, the girl underwent a medical abortion in Indianapolis, Huhn said.

Huhn also testified that DNA from the clinic in Indianapolis is being tested against samples from Fuentes, as well as the child's siblings, to confirm contribution to the aborted fetus.

Hubby had a couple of cousins who began to menstruate at the age of 9. That's hard enough for a child to handle but a pregnancy that ends with a live birth, or a termination, is unimaginable for such young girls.
 
Oh, guess what? Rapist was an illegal alien. And Ohio law has exceptions for rape and incest. But that aside, the rapist might not have been here if the border was closed. So maybe y’all should think twice before politicizing this stuff. I feel truly sorry for that poor kid.

On the local news today .... reported by the Ohio A/G Dave Yost that Columbus police did verify an investigation into the rape , and the child being taken to an Indianapolis hospital . He went on to say that Ohio does indeed have exceptions in place for cases such as this. He [hinted] that there would have been no need for the child to be dnied the abortion.

And yes @CarolfromTX ........ I too feel so sorry for that child.

If I may answer for Carol ?........ Because we have enough of our own home-grown deviants ........ why do we allow the importation of more from other countries ???

If he WAS documented ...... he might well have been in jail, or already sent back.
