Just thinking.....that this particular photo, @hollydolly
would also fit with any timely publication that includes a feature regarding Springtime, (or Easter) or with an event that has a focus on one of those seasonal themes, that the birth of baby lambs, help to announce!🤩

Nobody's been here since 6pm yesterday? Where is everybody?

Off today and woke up at going-to-work time:(

Compared to yesterday's early-morning temp in the 20s it's positively sub-tropical at 43F.

I should blue my hair today but so far just not feeling it. DD and I will probably do our Walmarting this morning so if hair is gonna get done, it needs to get done now.

Dreich, as we say. Damp and miserable and the forecast isn't great for today or tomorrow. Not really unusual for this time of year, but still not any fun. Managed a decent walk yesterday along the coastal track from Banff past the area called Scotstown. This is a mix of traditional cottages and modern houses squeezed on to what was the railway track when Britain had a railway network. The older houses backed on to the railway track so it must have been noisy to have a steam train passing so close to your house.oldbanff.jpg

Walked back through the town and bought some meat in the butchers. Our last butcher retired and we had a job finding a new one that we liked, but the one in Banff is very good.

(Note this is the original Banff. The Canadian one is named after it as it was the birthplace of the first president of the Canadian Pacific railroad)

I'm here, just clocked in! Sorry but I have been earning Brownie Points, the lady had breakfast in bed. Not literally of course, deduct Brownie Points if that happened. No special day, just a loving gesture, scrambled egg on toast, she so loves it and the smile said everything.

Breakfast also for our feathered friends, being on the edge of a forest we have many. A packet of almonds were looking a little sad so I crushed them and scattered them outside. Crushing is important at this time of the year, some birds have hatched young, a piece of almond in a little beak would end in a sad loss.

In between coming here and other things, I have been looking at, via YouTube, The Victorian Architecture of Wemyss Railway Station in Scotland. Talk about a serious wow factor!

Yes the station is beautiful When I was a teen we used to get the Ferry from Wemyss ( pronounced Weems).. Bay Port,, over to the holiday Island of Rothesay.. ..I had my first holiday romance there age 14 when I went on holiday for a week with my friend and her parents

Right now I am off back to bed for hopefully another hour sleep.
The eye is feeling much better and I promise I will defrost that small freezer today.
Upon completion of that I will settle down to my favourite pastime of TV and chips and will watch again an old movie..
....'Love Actually'..nice lighthearted fun with Hugh Grant and other favourites

Meanwhile you all.......
have a good day.gif

Oh my, I had a lovely romance too when I was about 17 in Rothesay.
He was a reporter for the local newspaper. We were in love for a week.
Broke my heart waving goodbye to him from the ship which was ready to sail back 'doon the Clyde.'

LoL... I didn't know if mine was still at school or working.. I only remember his name was Tony... :D

I've just been sitting out in the garden for a while with my Crossword. It's positively Balmy out there. Sun is shining, sky is blue , 54 deg.. and in my sun trap of a garden feels much warmer.. 🌻🌞🌞🌼☀️

Only came in because someone is drilling loudly in a garden nearby.., ...

Mine was called John Noddins ...he was a reporter for The Buteman , a newspaper founded in Rothesay in 1800's.
Years later I heard he had become editor.
We danced beautifully together
Tears waving good bye as we sailed off...theTitanic had nothing on that sceneTears 3.gif

@George1959
Hello to you and to your wife, from the USA!🙂

Does she know English as well as you do?

Do you, and does she, know other languages?
Parlez-vous Francais? :geek:

*waves* To Frau George... 🙋‍♀️
Holly, thank you for the waves from my wives. Oh sorry, I meant wife, I'm not a Muslim. :)
Kaila, thank you for asking. I speak German, I speak English and I like to talk about other people. My wife speaks German, Englisch and some French.:)

When I was working at IBM Greenock, I used to stay in Largs near to Nardini's ice cream parlour. It was closed at that time, but I've visited it since it re-opened. Great Ice cream. The road from Largs passed through Wemyss bay, Skelmorlie and Inverkip and up the Spango valley to the IBM plant where the PS/2 computers were made. The IBM plant has gone now, as have the once famous shipyards on the river Clyde.
Largs, however has acquired a new ferry link to Cumbrae island.
