In 1977, someone purchased a brand new Trapper pocket knife from Queen Cutlery U.S.A. and their Master Cutler Collection
Some 46yrs later, today I sharpened and gave some rubbin' lovin' to this pocket worn beauty. An absolute pleasure to tote ...

Concert this evening…a Meatloaf/Jim Steinman tribute show at The Riverfront Theatre in Newport.
Conveniently across the road from the bus station!
Enjoy your concert tonight. Early afternoon I have an appointment for a haircut, I shall call my wife when I leave the barber's, then together, we are meeting up with a few friends at a picturesque cafe in the forest for coffee. We usually meet up on the first Friday of the month but it had to be postponed for some reason that escapes me.
This evening we are off to Milford to see the wonderfully named: "Moscow Drug Club," they play the sort of jazz come boogie that we love.

Morning folkies... still sore in my arm after the vaccination... not moaning, just surprised the achiness has lasted so long tbh...

I was fortunate yesterday that it was sunny because today it's back to being rainy... never can I remember any time in my life when it's been this wet here..

No plans for today..2 days running I've been driing all over the place, so I need to just do nothing today.

It's almost 10.30am.. I've done a few kitchen chores, emptied bins etc.. and cleaned down.. but I have no intentions of doing anything more today..

@CinnamonSugar ...did Ed get relief from his Injection?... I hope he did... (y)

I woke up at going-to-work time. On my day off.

The rain is supposed to start in an hour or two so there won't be any gardening done today. DD has an appointment that'll take a couple of hours, then we'll be off to Walmart with a list as long as last week. Guess I should think of something productive to do until it's time to go. I don't feel like being productive right now, maybe later.

Welp. I did a few things around The Hovel, ate breakfast, cleaned the litter box, started a load of laundry, took a shower but still haven't located my motivation. I checked when making the bed. Not in there. Maybe it fell out of my pocket yesterday in DD's car and is under the seat.

@hollydolly I hear you about the wind🌬️ I hate it, too.

Christmas is still six weeks (and three days) away. I'm bone weary of Christmas commercials and Christmas decorations. By the time Christmas gets here it won't even be any fun.

Putting up a Christmas tree. I know!!
My grands come on Thanksgiving but not on Christmas.
That may change this year, different story, but for now I'm keeping things the same.
My oldest daughter doesn't like any Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving so I just put the tree up in one room and it looks like fall everywhere else.
My son and husband don't care either way, "What are we having to eat?" 🙂

Will hopefully finish up cleaning above kitchen cabinets.

About half is done.
Have stalled out as my idea of using my old crocks, don't have enough to do the other half.

Guess I'll use some of the 'Old Country Roses' plates for the other half.

Looks very nice! My cupboards are like that too. I have my collection of translucent vases displayed there.

Today, I finally did something I have had on my list to do forever (it seems). My friend and I took the bus to Walmart. It was fifty cents each way. We had to go on the lift with our walkers and it took us up into the bus. I didn't really need anything I just wanted the experience of going. Now I know how to do it and that I get to the store whenever I want. And not just Walmart, but any of the stores or places I need to go.
