Your body, my choice. A question for women.

Of course there are some great men out there. It would be ridiculous to think otherwise. This isn't about you or even our generation. But there is a growing trend among younger men that women belong at home having kids and cooking dinner. The 19th amendment should be repealed. This kind of thinking is dangerous to women on every level and I wonder how they really feel about it in their hearts. I just wanted to awaken women to the fact that this level of craziness does exist in some men. There is a desire for absolute dominance and control which they may convince themselves is the Christian way.
Not sure which generation you are referring to. Statistics are showing the younger generation are not interested in women, dating, or marriage. What age group are you talking about? Is this a brand new recent movement?

This turns out to be complete horseshit.

The studies conducted show that even "gamers" don't spend as much time on this as female peers do on toxic social media.
I agree. Women are walking social media! Everywhere you look, this gen is taking photos of themselves, photos of their friends, staring at the screen at fakebook, instascam, trash tok or any other brain numbing feed. Sure this gen guys are online 3 or 4 hours after work, but we see women online for 12-18 hours, and many sleep with their phones according to research-with their kids in tow.

My wife and I respected each other and had a great marriage for 63 years.

I greatly miss her.
We're coming up on 50 now. Not as many as you, but we're working on it. A few years ago, he brought home an anniversary cake that he'd had them write, Happy Anniversary Dear, 45 Miserable Years. Raised some eyebrows at the bakery I'm sure, but the truth is, we are the best of friends and really never fight over anything.

this was the same with me.I didn't agree to the no fault divorce, because he was clearly at fault in many ways.. but because 2 years had passed.. the No fault divorce becoms automatic, and nothing can be raised during the procedure, of the problems that brought the marriage to an end..

Theonly time this is different is if one or both of the parties have been seriousy assaulted to the endangerment of their life...and there has to have been a conviction for the no fault divorce to have the caveat of '''fault''..

I had been assaulted.. but because the police coudn't gather enough evidence at the time to bring a conviction against him, it didn't matter that he was arrested, several times, what matters is an actual conviction..... it meant I couldn't bring it up as part of our divorce procedure.. which I have to tell you will stick in my craw for the rest of my life.. it's so unfair.
Sounds like it was really rough for you Holly. You must have been so relieved when you walked away from that one.

just because they were born male does not make them God. They need to stay in their own lane

If all the human males suddenly disappeared from the face of the earth your quality of life would go down like a Stuka in a nosedive. On the other hand, if all the human females suddenly disappeared from the face of the earth, gasoline would still be produced and available, motor vehicles would still be getting repaired, commercial airlines would still be operating, electricity would still be produced, supermarkets would still have their shelves stocked with food, cities would still be maintained, and cell phones would still work. And while it's true that we human males are not Gods, you'll have to admit we are the next best thing. :)

Hence why I am and will remain single.
I am not in the mood to train another male, I just can't be bothered.

It angers me to see a woman controlled by a man, just because they were born male does not make them God.
They need to stay in their own lane.
It angers me to see a woman that allows herself to be controlled by a man or a woman.

Single and independent has always been my best option.

My views may be extreme but I grew up in the middle of a bad marriage and decided early on that it wasn’t for me.

I'm not going to get into chest thumping me Tarzan - you Jane ;)

But I will say that , I am 75 yrs/old and other than my 1/2 sister and her hubby I have never known anyone .... anyone that says or has said they are happily married. I have heard content, it's OK, she is a good cook, good mother etc. But never happily married or yes I am happy . I even [over the years] have known two couples that profess to barely liking their spouses . But they were so ground in, and had kids, that they just stayed together. One male friend told me it was like living with a sister. No hint of romance and no sex. She takes care of the inside of the house , I take care of the outside . She cooks on the stove, I cook on the grill. Etc.

I myself am divorced now 52 years. Our problem was her family [long story]
And after us, other than one woman, it seems all I ever met were those with multiple kids, and I didn't want to commit to and raise another man's kids.

@chic I ran into an/the article that echo's your OP. It is specifically targeting this turn of phrase "my body, my choice" (that was popular in the 60's for protecting women's reproductive rights), to "your body, my choice". Men started using this phrase and being quite mean about it. READ THE ARTICLE NOW BEFORE FURTHER COMMENTS : ‘Your body, my choice’: Women report rise in online misogyny

These comments are frightening. It feels like these men have been waiting for an excuse to unload on women. There is not one iota of respect for the WHOLE female specie!!! What is the real problem with females? None. But they have seized on this trend after the SCOTUS struck down "Roe" recently. It feels like hunting season to find females and put them back where they were 100 years ago. Their attitude is scary.

I think if I was a female and someone demeaned us, I would call them misogynists. That would be it. No argument. Just the truth. They hate women for some reason, and there is no other reason. ( if so I would like to hear it ).

It was Nick Fuentes who made this phrase go viral it wasn't about Roe. It was simple abuse of women for being women and it was sickening.
Thank you @chic There is not much in the UK media about this but, what I read did mention the Roe decision amongst other things but, you are right of course, it is sickening. (y)

I don’t think that it’s helpful to frame any issue as them against us.
‘My Body, My Choice’ should apply to everyone.
Slicing and dicing every issue by gender, race, education, religion, sexual orientation, age, etc… just continues to divide us.
Very wise words. From a married male who identifies as a married male with an adult daughter

Who thinks an erection is a conscious decision?
My nookie days are over,
My pilot light's gone out,
What used to be my sex appeal,
Is now my water spout.

Time was when, on its own accord,
From my trousers it would spring,
Now I've got a full time job,
To find the wretched thing.

It used to be embarrassing,
The way it would behave,
Every single morning,
It would stand and watch me shave.

Now old age approaches,
It sure gives me the blues,
To see it hang it's little head,
and watch me tie my shoes.

That is funny but beautiful all the same. ❤️ 👍

I am not sure why any gender should have to disappear off the face of the earth or why anyone would wish it but, I am surprised that you seem to think that there would be no gasoline, no car repairs, no airlines, no electricity, no produce in supermarkets, no maintenance and no cell phones.

Women work in industry; they fly planes, become mechanics and electricians, drive delivery vehicles, are employed in all trades and even work in the mobile phone industry. It's amazing really 🤷‍♀️

Well actually...many Universities have been studying using synthetic eggs, and making a lot of progress. They say a few years away. So, since spermatozoa is the factor in creating the life force to produce a child...maybe it will be sooner than later.

The same here, only I'm just beginning to go down that road after losing my husband of fifty years just last month. We had a wonderful marriage, loved and respected each other greatly. May your dear wife rest peacefully, sending warm thoughts and hugs your way. 💙

As usual…our opinions are colored by our own…limited…experiences. I know of long term very happy marriages…all based on partnerships of mutual respect. Assuming that one party is the more capable, smarter, more righteous….more entitled…is a set up for disaster. We should not be surprised about this. Women and men are not the same. That is why we call them “women” and “men”. That does not make one group superior. Both groups have talents unique to their genetics…and as individuals we also have talents unique to ourselves.

Well said, and thank you. Maybe @chic will take a couple of minutes to read it and learn.
