11/4/2023 pro-Palestinian protests around the world

So whose idea was it to insist on pro-Gaza protests to take place today of all days? Who had the authority to prevent it?
Trouble is now guaranteed.

We are a democracy, so protests must be allowed, in principle, but to do this today is madness. Surely?

On November 11, 2023, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas delivered a significant speech at the combined summits of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Riyadh. Here are the key points from his address:

  1. Genocidal War in Gaza:
    • President Abbas called for an immediate halt to Israel’s “unparalleled genocidal war” in Gaza.
    • He implored the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities and put an end to the brutal Israeli aggression.
    • The Israeli airstrikes and ground offensive have ravaged Gaza for over a month.
    • The blockade on Gaza has exacerbated the crisis, affecting access to medical supplies, food, water, electricity, and fuel.
  2. Rejection of Military Solutions:
    • President Abbas emphasized that the Palestinian Authority rejects all military solutions to the conflict.
    • He denounced Israel’s actions, which undermine the two-state solution and promote policies of intensified settlement, annexation, ethnic cleansing, and racial discrimination in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
    • He condemned the Israeli violation of Islamic and Christian holy sites.
  3. Comprehensive Political Solution:
    • Abbas asserted that Gaza is an integral part of the State of Palestine.
    • Any viable political solution must encompass the entire Palestinian territory, including the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza.
    • He expressed deep concern over Israel’s seizure of Palestinian funds intended for Gaza.
    • The Palestinian Authority remains unwavering in its commitment to the region.
  4. International Support and Resolutions:
    • President Abbas called for robust international support.
    • He urged the UN Security Council to grant full membership to the State of Palestine.
    • An international peace conference and the implementation of a political solution based on international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative are essential.
    • The end of Israeli occupation of Palestinian land, including East Jerusalem, is crucial.
  5. Palestinian Refugee Issue:
    • Abbas emphasized the need to resolve the Palestinian refugee issue in accordance with UN Resolution 194.
In summary, President Abbas’s speech highlighted the urgency of addressing the ongoing conflict and seeking a just and lasting resolution for the Palestinian people

I am getting concerned about the possibility that other countries could join this war. Nuclear war is a possibility. Is this the beginning of Armageddon?

Abbas was elected on 9 January 2005 to serve as President of the Palestinian National Authority until 15 January 2009, but extended his term until the next election in 2010, citing the PLO constitution, and on 16 December 2009 was voted into office indefinitely by the PLO Central Council.

Do better Paco. Surely you should look into who you are quoting. Find a quote by someone without blood on his hands, if you can. Thank you.

They all have blood on their hands. All. I posted it to alert people that this is becoming a much bigger war than what started. Those nations meeting in Saudi Arabia are all Muslim and support Palestine. They have a lot of money and military might. I am not for one side or the other. I am not for escalating the war any further than absolutely necessary...I wonder if it will cease anytime soon. What about the amount of money we are putting into war, when we have so many pressing needs here in the states?

I hate war. Any war. Especially all the innocents killed and harmed on all sides. Please quit boxing me into a pro-Hamas supporter, it is unfair. I am not! There is a much larger picture to consider. This confrontation has been in the making for many years, and I fear it has come home to roost.

It is true that there have been terrorist attacks all over the globe. Maybe these kind of Muslims believe they are the chosen people for the middle east. Will it be straightened out after so many Muslims have been killed this time? Won't they seek revenge on this war? That could start a bigger war if that happens.
Even during the first Cold War many thought things would start in the middle east over oil or a conflict involving Israel. Political hardliners are onething but religious zealots are another. More people understand religion better than they do politics. Movements, ideologies, religions stand the test of time better than political trends. Religious issues gets the masses get involved much quicker right or wrong.

What does that mean please?
it’s obvious.

Those who pick a fight choose the timing. Ask the terrorists and terrorist states. They started this war. They know when they will escalate it and when and who they will next attack.

There was peace on October 6, 2023 when mothers put their babies to bed. On October 7th those babies didn’t have heads.

Could someone explain to me, what you can imagine the outcome of this conflagration be? I can not.
Nothing. I spent some time recently reading all 36 Articles of the Hamas Covenant of 1988. Scary :poop:. They will not allow it. There will be no resolution until they reach their goal which is getting rid of all Jews and other infidels. I won't paste all 36 articles, but Article 13 says:
Initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences, are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement.
(And later in #13: ) There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. The Palestinian people know better than to consent to having their future, rights and fate toyed with.

Side note/question... why the heck am I reading quotes from Abbas here?! Perhaps all the bleeding hearts who are wanting to tuck tail and run away to wait for the next attack should read the Covenant and see what's REALLY going on.

I know with all my heart you are NOT a Hamas supporter! I know you as a compassionate, loving human being.

I understand...thanks. Somehow, I too hope that terrorism stops. Immediately. No telling now that the Muslim nations are all a buzz.

I have heard that the whole beheading babies story might be not true. I think even Bing Chat finds that to be the case...wait i'll ask.

This is a very disturbing and sensitive question. There have been unconfirmed and contradictory reports about Hamas fighters allegedly beheading 40 Israeli babies during an attack on Kfar Aza, a village in southern Israel, on Oct. 7, 2023 1234.

The claim seems to have originated from an Israeli reporter’s on-air comments, which were later amplified by politicians, news media, and activists in the U.S. and U.K. However, there is no conclusive evidence to support this claim, and some sources have cast doubt on its veracity 124.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have posted graphic photos that purportedly show babies who were killed and/or burned by Hamas, but there were no photos showing decapitations 2. The IDF spokesperson said he had not seen any visual proof of the alleged beheadings himself, and no further details were available 1.

The U.S. President Joe Biden also claimed that “terrorists [were] beheading children” in a meeting with Jewish leaders, but his office later clarified that he had not actually seen any evidence of such beheadings 1.

The conflict between Israel and Palestine has resulted in the deaths of thousands of civilians on both sides, and many atrocities have been committed by both parties. However, it is important to verify the facts before spreading rumors that could inflame the situation further and cause more suffering.

I am aware of this. It is horrifying. Endless killing by a bunch of extremists. I just wish I could tell if anyone is ever going to drop their gun and walk away.

Hamas was wearing cameras. The above is Hamas' own story, told by themselves, pride in their butchery.

OMG. Will you hitch a ride to the moon... I've been craving some green cheese. Have you not heard of the confirming videos that made a room full of worldwide journalists physically ill?
You claim you're not pro-Hamas, but ... yeah, I'd better stop there. So many posts seem to speak the opposite.

It is all propaganda from both sides. There is no conclusive evidence. or maybe you could provide a link...thanks.

Now Macron, previously supporting Israels' retaliation, has called for a cease fire. The end of killing women and babies.
Perhaps someone should remind the man that Israel told them time and time again to LEAVE GAZA and told them where to go that's safe and they stayed. They were probably forced to stay... or they wanted to be martyrs. They love that stuff. The gullibility surrounding this whole thing is mind boggling.
