Are there any actors you don't like to watch?

I never understood why anyone liked, much less laughed watching the Three Stooges..still I think laughter is healthy so I am happy that some find humor where I don't :D
I devised a lesson plan on film editing based on the 3 stooges - given the limited technology of the day, the editors of the clips did a very impressive job, in my opinion!

Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler. I couldn't even stand to watch Jim Carrey when he was on Letterman or any other talk show. I liked Glen Campbell so I am very happy he did not peruse an acting career after True Grit or he would be on the list also. I am sure there are others but those two popped up in my head first. Oh, and later Eddie Murphy movies need to get a mention too. I loved his earlier movies though.
Agreed on both, but especially Jim Carrey. He is actually a good actor, but he is just too manic and silly for me. I will also add Jennifer Lopez-Affleck to the list of someone I don't want to see in a movie.

I don't like Casey Affleck. He mumbles, which makes it hard to understand what he's saying, and basically plays the same character in every movie he's in.

It's not that I dislike these actors, just don't care much for them and if they are in something, I'm probably not going to watch unless I really like other actors in the production:
Steve Martin (although decades ago I did see him in a couple of things)
Will Ferrell
Martin Short
Steve Carell
Kevin Hart

I agree with all of the names on your list! And will add Jim Carrey.

I don't like movies where the star gets "title" billing. That's when the "STAR" gets billing with the title. For example :
Star Wars
Tom Cruise
In a movie with not such a big "star", It would be "Star Wars, starring Tom Cruise". It's a Hollywood thing. It means the "star" is super popular and a big draw, or he's put up most of the money for the flick. But either way, it means most of the movie will be about the STAR. Say, if X gets shot in the movie, and X's wife finds out, the reaction you'll see on screen won't be the crying wife, but the reaction by the STAR. That's why I like no name flicks.

Adam Sandler

I can't stand Adam Sandler. He usually plays the same character over and over. That's why Saturday Night Live dumped him decades ago,
I don't love most of his movies, which I expect is because I'm not a member of the audience he often targets: adolescent boys.

In real life, he's well knows to be one of the nicest, most genuine, generous and loyal show-biz guys you could ever meet. His reputation both in and out of the entertainment business is stellar.

Nicole Kidman. I think she's a terrible actress, clearly cast in many leading roles because of her beauty, but there is no talent there. She always seems wooden to me.

Another one I've never thought had any talent is Kelsey Grammer. He got a great part in Frasier, but was so overshadowed by David Hyde Pierce (as Niles) that he seemed amateurish.

Once they had a "Leave it to Beaver" reunion. The guy who played Beaver as a child and was cute then, turned out to be a non-actor. Pretty embarrassing. (But Ken Osmond, who played Eddie Haskell, was the only really good actor on that show.)

I don't watch tv or movies much, but one actress I don't like to watch is Sigourney Weaver. She starred in Alien and Aliens, which were two of the worst movies I've ever watched. There is absolutely no rational reason why I don't like her. It's not because she was in those movies. I just took a dislike to her.

Macho types like John Wayne and Charles Bronson;
The ever-present smirk of Burt Reynolds;
Two I dislike for no apparent reason: Sarah Chalke and Dave Foley;
and the irritating vocals of Lisa Dean Ryan- "Deeeewgie, Deeeewgie!"

I'm not a huge Sylvester Stallone fan either, but he's Italian and has a nice accent so they're points in his favor!
