I devised a lesson plan on film editing based on the 3 stooges - given the limited technology of the day, the editors of the clips did a very impressive job, in my opinion!I never understood why anyone liked, much less laughed watching the Three Stooges..still I think laughter is healthy so I am happy that some find humor where I don't![]()
Agreed on both, but especially Jim Carrey. He is actually a good actor, but he is just too manic and silly for me. I will also add Jennifer Lopez-Affleck to the list of someone I don't want to see in a movie.Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler. I couldn't even stand to watch Jim Carrey when he was on Letterman or any other talk show. I liked Glen Campbell so I am very happy he did not peruse an acting career after True Grit or he would be on the list also. I am sure there are others but those two popped up in my head first. Oh, and later Eddie Murphy movies need to get a mention too. I loved his earlier movies though.
I agree with all of the names on your list! And will add Jim Carrey. It's not that I dislike these actors, just don't care much for them and if they are in something, I'm probably not going to watch unless I really like other actors in the production:
Steve Martin (although decades ago I did see him in a couple of things)
Will Ferrell
Martin Short
Steve Carell
Kevin Hart
Adam Sandler
I don't love most of his movies, which I expect is because I'm not a member of the audience he often targets: adolescent boys.I can't stand Adam Sandler. He usually plays the same character over and over. That's why Saturday Night Live dumped him decades ago,
