@Gardenlover, There are podcasts designed for sleep.Have you tried audiobooks or podcasts? I find them comforting.
Hoping you get some good information from this. Good thoughts.I start the sleep study in the neurology clinic Thursday. Maybe they can tell me what has been causing horrible pain in my legs arms and face when I sleep. I have quit taking a nap in the afternoon because it is taking 3\4 hours to become functional again. Its tough. I have been taking a nap off and on most of my life.
We'll see....![]()
I've just looked up what that is. It sounds like potentially a good alternative to a CPAP, but I'm sorry it's giving you trouble at times. Sleep is so important and I think more so as we age. I know I really need a good amount to feel good during the day.I have an Inspire sleep apnea implanted device. I either sleep really well or toss all night. It all depends on how well I am sticking to my routine. If I honor my regular bedtime consistently I will sleep well. If I am late and earlier in a series of nights, then the device tends to wake me during the night.
I've heard that about magnesium as well.Slept better last night, about 8 hours, but with numerous periods of briefly being awake. I think a magnesium supplement can help improve sleep.

Experiencing the Inspire therapy for sleep apnea is not as simple as folks seem to think it is. The routine and the device adjustment period are the keys to its success. My wife says I rarely snore and that is a win. I'm gradually acclimating to the routine that works for me so that I get longer consecutive nights of better sleep. Expecting an immediate result may be the greatest pitfall. Since it is an implant it is a program to which you have to be committed with some patience.I've just looked up what that is.
