I've got to keep moving quick, danged Vultures are flying around overhead out there!!!!!
Awww...so sweet of you to check on me GGHave I just not seen her or has @OneEyedDiva disappeared?
Hm. How did I miss your posts? Maybe eye surgery wasn't as successful as I thought! LOLAwww...so sweet of you to check on me GGI posted in this thread yesterday and in others as well. How is your eye doing? Much better, I hope! BTW...did you have one done or both?
I know exactly what you mean. I wore glasses since I was 9 or 10. I didn't have both eyes done at the same time so had to wear glasses a little longer after the right eye was done in 2005. After getting the left one done and being able to see 20/20, I went crazy buying fashionable sunglasses.Hm. How did I miss your posts? Maybe eye surgery wasn't as successful as I thought! LOL
Had both done and have been liberated from EyeDrop Prison. I can do anydamnthang I wanna, including gardening. So I have done anydamnthang I wanted to. I can see (except your posts yesterday!) and only need readers for some new books.
It's weird after wearing glasses for nearly 50 years not having to wear them now. I get up in the morning and reach for...oh...nope...no glasses.
Oh my! You poor soul. 115! That’s outrageous! I’m so sorry.hopefully you’ll have a few showers a day and stay inside. Thinking of you Starsong!Cry me a river. It was 115° here yesterday and promises to be roughly the same today. The weather gurus are saying it will be dropping back to a much more comfortable 85° by Weds. Not wanting to wish my life away, but Weds can't come soon enough for my taste.
DH has to go out for a few hours for a business errand. While he's gone I'm planning to scrub the shower soak the bottom with a bleach solution for half an hour or so. The shower has a bumpy tile floor with a center drain, so soaking it is an almost impossible task. I'll lay down the silicone stopper and cover it with a glass bowl so the stopper doesn't float off when I put in the water and bleach.

There have been some power outages nearby, so I'm being extra careful to use my appliances during off-peak hours. Started a load in the washer early yesterday morning and let it soak until this morning, when I finished the cycle, then put it in the dryer for 10 minutes to pull out the wrinkles and hung it up.
Started the next load while that was in the dryer (around 5 AM today) and will finish that one early tomorrow morning. With this heat, everything dries very quickly when draped on the drying rack or hung from the pole in my garage (home of my laundry area).
Oh, goody. LGS will have a Likkle SisterLikkle Grandaughter is due any day!!!

What's got you down lately (((CS))) do you know ?Rain will be here soon but for now I sit in the garden, clouds hanging low, the air hushed and expectant. I’m reading Daphne du Maurier’s “the House on the Strand” and the day perfectly suits the story
That;s a different chair from the other pic you posted. This one is finished at the bottom lots nicer than the other. This one has more detail on the buttoned back cushion.Pic with Maggiecat and covered seat cushion because she has already claimed her spaceView attachment 365837View attachment 365837
@hollydolly, I hadn't realized I was giving the impression I was down. Though I guess there are things weighing on my mind (finances, family, health--none earth-shaking, just niggling bothersome). What's got you down lately (((CS))) do you know ?
It was because you said your get up and go had gone.. and usually there's only one reason for that, so I guessed.@hollydolly, I hadn't realized I was giving the impression I was down. Oh I see. A long nap from 11:00 til 2pm took care of the “swimming through molasses” feeling. It was because you said your get up and go had gone.. and usually there's only one reason for that, so I guessed.
I hope things pick up for you and everything gets on an even keel again..
Oh I *love* Talbots!! ClassicI received a twenty dollar coupon from Talbots yesterday so off to the outlet stores today. I got two nice slub tees and a pair of crop jeans. They were summer clearance so I got all three for just under $30.
I've switched closets for fall and my end of winter clearance I got last year is ready to go.![]()
Is there an indoor alternative close by in case you get there and it looks like rain?I cannot decide whether to go to the Steam engine rally this weekend. ..just because I can't get a definitive answer as to whether it will rain or not in that region. It's a good hour and a half drive from here.. and if I'm going to not be caught up in a long queue at the entrance I need to be there by around 10am... either tomorrow or Sunday... I'm just not convinced it's not going to rain.
Every time I look it say it will rain.. then it says it will be cloudy and no rain, I'm not going to risk going all that way just for it to start raining when I get there..
Is that the steam rally held in conjunction with the heritage Swanage Railway? It's on all over this weekend. It's always a great excuse for showing off the old MG, for which I get free entrance. But we are off to an afternoon, into the evening jolly at our friend's place. We are celebrating an 80th birthday. I just love the way that they have planted out their patio.I cannot decide whether to go to the Steam engine rally this weekend.
