I'm home. Plumber is here installing new tankless water heater. Water is turned off. Hope I don't have to pee! I was worried that Maggiecat would escape with the door open while I was gone. Nope. She hid under the bed and didn't come out until I got home. Plumber didn't know there was a kitty

here.
So. HR lady brought granddaughter around to introduce her (but only to NL, not to me). Hm. Her GD is an identical twin. Twin has been working at the store since sometime last fall. It appears that my days are numbered. Fine! Fire me. Please. I'll collect unemployment for as long as it lasts. I can "look" for jobs until the cows come home, but not concerned that anybody will hire me at my (somewhat advanced) age. Yay.
Anyway, I discovered purely by accident that HR lady's GD has been hired. I had to leave a note for HR lady because I was supposed to sign the papers saying I'd completed some training, and she told me to see her before I left today. When I went up to sign the papers when my shift was done, she wasn't there (because, yanno, she was taking her GD around the store to introduce her to everybody...except me). I waited until I saw DD pull up outside, then left the note telling HR lady that my ride was there and asking if she could sign on my behalf.
However...when I lifted the note from the desk I used for writing, a paper fluttered to the floor. Picked it up, of course, and there was all the info about the new hire in the bakery. It's not like I had to read much; it was just a form with her name, hire date, department. The rest of the paper was just white space. Instead of handwriting on the wall, it was handwriting on the paper! LOL
They'll "offer" me a job at another store. It's what they do. No. I'm ready to leave at a moment's notice. Unemployment? Nah. That's just a pipe dream. They make these "offers" to employees all the time so that they'll quit, and the company won't have to pay unemployment.
Sir will have to start opening at 4am again. That won't make him happy.
Also hope that the plumber is done enough to close the back door soon because, dang! it's still cold outside.
It'll be 70+ today, and by Thursday? 81+. Thursday's my day off to play in the dirt. No rain in sight until Friday. Woohoo.
Spring is only 7 (SEVEN!) days away.
One more thing...I looked for Herb Ox this morning. Nope. Everdamthang
except Herb Ox.
