I just did my fridge the other day. I am actually part way through cleaning it. I still have the a few shelves on the door. This morning I have errands to do. Walk to the post office and then to the bank. I hope to get it done early. If the laundry room isn't busy I will get my bedding and towels done. Cleaning out the refrigerator too. Taking everything out of it and give it a good scrubbing. Haven't done that in awhile.
When's the last time you had a nice long phone conversation? Better yet can someone there set up a tablet with video calling?@Sliverfox Exorbitant air fare. Motel because he lives in senior housing and overnight guests not allowed. Total is a couple of thousand dollars. Can't do it without damage to savings, and that would leave me with no cushion if (when) I decide to waltz out the bakery door. Drat.
We talk at least weekly for an hour or more. He doesn't have a tablet. Laptop but no clue how to set up a video call. In short, it's a non-starter.When's the last time you had a nice long phone conversation? Better yet can someone there set up a tablet with video calling?
I sincerely hope that your share is half! You would not believe you were in the same country today as yesterday... it's grim, grey... and breezy...... compared to the heat , and blue skies of Sunday...
Tomorrow I will be having a meeting with the D lawyer, she will be telling me how much my share will be of the assets
Me three.Migraine. Grateful that I only get the aura without the pain, but it's still annoying and hard to see.
well it goes without saying so do I... however.. there is one major problem.. he's not declared most of it.. so it looks like we're going to be dragging this through the courts for a while...I sincerely hope that your share is half!
Tablets can be fairly cheap, and they are easy to set up and use, @Georgiagranny . You can get a 10” amazon fire tablet for around $100, and then you could video chat with your brother anytime you wanted to do so.We talk at least weekly for an hour or more. I have figured out that working extra hard at work yields extra work. It's devolved into an every man for himself kind of thing, with me picking up the slack. There's more than enough slack to go around. I used to work for a big German company, it is to Germany as GM is to America. The initials are KHD. We joked that the initials stood for "keine hilft dir" or "none help you" (no one helps you). I'm trying to figure out a way to do only my own job and stop picking up the slack since no one makes an effort to help me get mine done, rarely even Sir. What that amounts to is that it appears that we've all done our jobs.
The schedule has me there from 4am-10am, but I'm usually out by 9. That means I rush to get all my work done but have time to squeeze in all the stuff that's left by others. What? Why? I could stretch my work out to 10 and not "have time" to do anything else. It sounds, and is, selfish, but we all get paid the same whether we work fast or slow. IOW, I work fast so that others can work slow.
I need to learn how to stop being "nice." How do I do that without becoming a grouchy old b*tch?

I was thinking that you could get one for him, and set it up if necessary. You said that traveling would be thousands of dollars, and not in your budget, and this option would be very affordable, comparably.I have a tablet. He does not. There is no "around $100" in his budget.
