@Georgiagranny, will you ever set foot in your former store to pick up groceries. Do you have an alternative close by?
There are two other stores within five miles of home, a Publix across the street from the store where I worked, and two Walmarts within six miles. No problem getting groceries for sure. I might go into the one where I worked, but I doubt it. Will miss my friends there, but most of them shop at the other stores, at Publix or at Walmart so will probably see them from time to time.@Georgiagranny, will you ever set foot in your former store to pick up groceries. YES!!Now. Do I make lasagne today or not?![]()
I feel for ya Rose. Won't go into detail now but a snake got into my apartment decades ago! I was terrified. At some point I'll probably post about the experience. Some funny parts looking back on it. A police officer lived right next door, got my key from my friend who lived upstairs, came in (to a dark livinng room because I had been asleep) and killed it. Thank God for Audra, our cat. She chased it into the living room.Nightmare woke me too early. Went back to sleep and woke with a worse one! Slept too late.
Opened my door to find a big, black snake on my steps near a flower pot! I'd never seen one in real life, except for a tiny garter snake. This one is about 2 feet and quite plump... oh gawd.
Called police about 45 minutes ago, but no one yet. I called them back about 15 mins ago was told they're busy. So, I wait. Terrified, like a big baby.
We had a terrific T-storm last night, really loud thunder. My son and DIL are in Maine and I'm feeding their cat. Homes in some areas lost power, but not mine and I hope not theirs. It may rain a bit more today.
Dang, I wish Animal Control would show up!
**** Oh, one cop just came with a long pole and tried to poke the snake into my shrubs. The thing just looked at him. I was at the window. Then he got it into the bushes. He said Animal Control was busy bringing in some dogs to a shelter in a bordering town. I guess it will finally go away..... into the woods where I walk Doggie.![]()

Fine weather? You're kidding! It's summer in the UK, there will be rain, sun and more rain. You will need a brolly, weatherproof jacket, boots, sandals and sungalsses. Have a great time.Had a text this morning: "Are you bringing your old MG to Poole Goes Vintage on the 21st? Poole Goes Vintage is a wonderful, free event, held on the quay. Of course we will be there. I had forgotten, not even made a note of it, how remiss of me. Let me show you some photos from previous years of the event.

Fingers crossed for fine weather.
Would earplugs help, so you don't hear it?I did make a small lasagne and ate some last night. Just ate it for breakfast too. I'll portion the rest to freeze.
81 here, the high to be 91.
@Trila you sure had a frustrating day and got rained on too.
@StarSong , looks like you're in that heat dome now. So glad you have a pool. I keep my A/C at 73.
The laundry is calling me today.
and unnecessary if you have a hose in your hand..... Bathing is futile.
