Thanksgiving in America - November 27th

I'm still deciding if I am even going to cook this year. Although I live alone I usually make a nice dinner. However, this year I may just take it easy for a change.

Alone here too. I was kinda on the fence. I usually do a dinner too with some help from Stouffers. Its settled now.
I been to the store and Im not going back out for a while. This will be my Holiday Feast. I wont be eating this all at once.
When you buy frozen sides you can stick to the basics and have different side dishes all week. :D

Rotisserie turkey chest, Stove Top stuffing, can whole berry cranberry sauce, taste testing assorted frozen green bean casseroles,
Bob Evans sweet potatoes, mash potatoes, Marie C. cheesy potato casserole, and bakery rolls.

I will be making potluck corn pudding and warm brussel sprout slaw. I usually make sweet potato casserole. This year Im just going to make the topping and add it to the Bob Evans ones. Im concentrating on desserts this year.
Pumpkin bread, pumpkin fluff, pumpkin angel squares,

And yes I know Im a heathen. I like stove top dressing and can cranberry sauce and green bean casserole. :D #sorry #not sorry

EDIT: If youre ordering why not branch out and order individual sides from Bob and Marie and Stouffers and the Green Giant.
Marie doesnt put much turkey in her dinners and the mash potatoes are weird. Bob has single serve mash potatoes and mac and cheese.

Son here is hosting this year with his GF. I have come to realize some things about her
that remind me of me so very much. She volunteered to do the majority of the cooking.
Noticing her nature I called her yesterday and said:
In getting to know you I think I realize you are a lot like me in many ways. So I sort of figured out
that your kitchen is YOUR kitchen and believe me I can respect that. So I would like to offer my help
Wednesday for prep work to ease the stress a bit for you.
I will peel potatoes, slice and cut, wash and all that tedious stuff and leave the seasoning and
presentation up to you if you would like the help.

She laughed and said "Yes, you got me right and on those conditions I would love the extra hands"
I think her and I are going to get along really well. I still will stay away from the green bean casserole
though and she will avoid my green beans with bacon fat and bits, as she eats no pork at all.
It's going to work out fine I do believe.

I can let go of Mac and cheese, ham and green bean casserole.

This year I made for our early celebration last Saturday: a whole turkey breast in my instant pot with mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts with horseradish sauce, gravy on the range and cranberry relish I made in advance. I heated up a prepared dish of stuffing from Trader Joe’s and a package o f Hawaiian rolls. My brother brought a cranberry and a pecan pie. Dinners will be leftovers for a while.

Sounds delicious 😋 I have some stuffing mix I might make that day. I love 💖 stuffing 😄
