I don't want to open my heart again. I would, but only if requested to do so.I’m so sorry for your loss, @Pepper. Family can behave in some very unusual ways that we’ll never understand. Thankfully the family has included you back in the circle.

I hate that as well when people are so selfish that they use what's supposed to be a public space to throw stuff around amongst a group (usually teenagers or 20-somthings), whether it be some sort of ball, frisbee or whatever. So inconsiderate of others trying to enjoy the same space without taking a hit to the face or head. Happens at the beach quite often as welllol..it wasn't once in a while it was continual....
yes me too... Our open air pools are few and far between in the Uk, and because I don't have a pool here at this house, and can't get to my house in Spain ..I really miss swimming.. so I was very happy to find this one even tho' it's a 40 mile round trip... but it's not a relaxing swim when this horseplay is allowed to go on..I hate that as well when people are so selfish that they use what's supposed to be a public space to throw stuff around amongst a group (usually teenagers or 20-somthings), whether it be some sort of ball, frisbee or whatever. Dear @Pepper I feel your pain. Mother only paid for the school ring. Somehow the school graduation budget (for 1977) didn't include a photo album. No photographic memories. As Papa died in 1974, Mother also refused to pay for the graduation dance (had to retrieve down payment I'd put on prom dress, shitaki mushrooms...)After torturing myself making reservations on AccessARide, I found out my grandson's Pre-K graduation at a local gorgeous park is cancelled, due to weather concerns. The graduation will be moved indoors where there is only room for the parents, not the grandparents and guests. Sigh. Now I must miss the dance the students rehearsed; the one my grandson absolutely refused to participate in. Now I can't watch him NOT dance!
I bet it doesn't rain. If, at 2:30 pm it is not raining, I will return to this space to scream and curse! that I missed a great event. These events are so treasured
You have to see the differences within laws of each of the 50 states. Vinny (Joe Pesci) is the lawyer from New York, and never dealt with a murder case let alone been in court. Alabama a Southern State below the Dixie Line has very different views regarding court procedures. So, the funnies are between Vinny and the judge Chamberlain Haller (Fred Gwynne played in the Munsters series 1964-1966).you know what..everyone that I know whose watched My Cousin Vinny.. say it's the funniest film they ever saw... I watched it and didn't find it funny... I just didn't get it...![]()
A happy weekend yourself Mizmo. We shall be at The Shake & Stir Retro Festival, which if any UK member is in the Bournemouth area over the weekend, is welcome to come along to.Yesterday , another lottery win of the grand sum of $20....okay , okay, $120 last week was much nicer but today I bought a cheap watch
for $12.00 plus tax and another lottery ticket for tomorrow. Then I went to The Dutch Bakery and bought 6 freshly baked raisin buns so it was well spent
I was not feeling too good this morning but just made myself get moving so all in all a good day.
Now I am going to have a coffee and one of those buns with lots of butter...yum

St. Lucia's very nice. You'll like it! Was there early part of May this year..
So excited today, using my winnings from Ascot to book
a week long holiday with three of my best girlfriends
(they're paying for themselves).
Taken all day and probably all day tomorrow to decide
where we want to invade, lol.
St Lucia looks good!
So very sorry to read this Pepper. Please let us know any way you can how you are doing. Keep strongA few hours ago I learned my only sibling, older sister died this morning. Come September, it will be 20 years since I last saw her. She wouldn't speak to me and I never learned why. I have been trying to reach her and a nephew for the last two decades and was ignored. No one has ever told me why. Our mother died two years before we stopped speaking. I got my first bout with cancer. They visited me in the hospital, then disappeared.
Now she is dead. Another nephew reached out to his cousin, my son. She died of dementia. She was at home. I spoke with this nephew. They are not having a funeral but a memorial service at home. I was told I'd be informed of when.
For the last few hours I've been pacing my apartment. I wish I could throw up, I feel so physically ill. If you guys can stand it, I'll be mentioning it here, in this thread. I don't want to start a thread about her. I'm not comfortable authoring threads.
When it rains, it pours. I am so thankful and grateful for my own son, a loyal, loving man.
Wow, it must've either been hot or windy for you to dry off so quickly. I meant to say I ordered 6 boxes of vanilla chai, not 6 packs (the 6 came packaged together). I have enough to last me for quite awhile, even though I shared one box. Still haven't tried the masala yet. What your daughter said gave me an idea...maybe I'll have it with anisette toast.Funny you talking about dodging the rain lol... We got soaked at the first bus stop waiting for it to arrive. Then, we managed to do our shopping dry and the rain came round 11pm. They never get the weather correctly, after a quarter of a century, I know LOL!
I love Vanilla Chai and it was our goal. Daughter and I wanted a treat. At Christmas we get our Munchkins in the past, windmill spiced biscuits. With this Masala, daughter said it was as having that biscuit in a cup with tea, it's gooooooood...![]()

The geographic feature they're know for; twin mountains ... The Pitons. You'll hear about them all the time there. Even the local beer carries the name Piton Beer

Glad you stopped in! Keeping you in my prayers for a good outcome and less stress.Hello, all here.
It's been a stressful and very exhausting week, with DH having surgery, and my trying to hold it together. We are getting through this, so far.
I tried to sleep tonight, and just couldn't, so I am saying hello, and read through just some of the posts, from the past few days, since my previous SF visit, and most recent post.
Can't think of anything else to say, but it feels good to come by here.
You will do what I told you to do in your BD thread!I don't have any idea what I will be doing today. Having coffee right now.
