I'm home alone, doing laundry, reading, and wondering how daughter and her Dad are doing at the Fergus
Festival. It is an annual Scottish Festival that takes place in Fergus, Ontario every summer. I have bit of a
wonky tummy, so, I didn't go. There will be caber-tossing, highland dancing, music and more. I'm hoping there will be shortbread for sale 😋 Would love to see men in kilts!
 
Was played like a dang fiddle today.

Neighbor half block down on the other side knocked at the door and asked if I had a ladder to get on top of his house.
Said there were limbs hanging from a tree and brushing against his roof.
Of course I do, happily walked the ladder down to his house and stood it against the roof line, ready to climb.

So this guy at least 20yrs younger than me, just stood looking at me and the ladder ...
... Said he's afraid to climb up on top of his house.
What ?!?!?! ... "Do you even have anything to cut the tree limbs with?"
Nope ... so I left and retrieved my gas powered pole saw.

Climbed my happy bum up on his house and cut the limbs for him.

THEN ... he mentioned leaves collecting here and there ... and while I was up there anyway ...
SOooo, asked if he had a broom?

That he had, tossed it up to me and I swept leaves from his roof.

I grew up with all of that... I would be very happy never to see another Kilted , Caber tossing, highland dancing..shortbread eating man again for the rest of my days..:ROFLMAO:...we used to curl up with embarrassment when were kids at the sight of the Highland games...
 
My son and I went to Costco today, getting there shortly after they opened so it wasn't too crowded. He had picked up items that didn't need refrigeration during the week so I didn't have much to buy. I wanted to go myself because they had Sketchers lightweight sneakers on sale but unfortunately didn't have any wide widths, which I need. I do enjoy looking around in Costco though, so I'm glad we got to go.

After I put the items away and fed our fur baby, my son and I had a business meeting, then we spent about an hour and a half working on my Mambo. I think this will be the easiest project so far. The song is 🔥🔥❗ After I do a bit of accounting, the rest of the evening will be spent catching up on some posts here on SF, relaxing, watching T.V. and of course playing my games.

Despite the fact that we are not members, the local MG owner's club to have invited us to join them at their summer jolly. It's held annually at a big country pile in Dorset.

We are up early today, there's a picnic lunch to pack, although most of it we prepared yesterday. So too did I prepare our car, washed and polished ready to meet her public.

Here's hoping that today's weather remains dry, I don't mind driving in the rain but the wipers are so small and flimsy and, of course, there's no multi-speed technology with them either. It all gets a bit scary.

Woke up late, 7am to discover very low glucose level. I have to deal with this, I could die in my sleep. Have 'brittle' diabetes so it's hard to gain control. Feel funky and will for a few hours more.

So, today. IDK yet, probably similar to yesterday........get out, get near water, read, go home, no cats.
