Cleaning up my husband's garden work bench. The man can plant/make so many great things. He just never learned how to maintain them when done.
Have a great trip! Happy for you. Clear skies!Packing and getting ready to go to Alaska. Flying out tomorrow morning for almost 2 weeks of fishing and sightseeing.
Both my horoscopes tell me to behave today 'cause someone's gonna piss me off!
I just got an email to advise me that I have won $5million in the Facebook Lottery . I am so excited.View attachment 284927
Got special codes and everything to claim. I will spend the morning drinking coffee and eating donuts to decide if I should accept.
So hard to make a decision at my age
However I do have a date at the library this afternoon for a discussion on new authors so perhaps I will bring up the subject then to get some advice.
Will keep you posted...

I will ll check that out. I just ordered chicken wire cloches off Amazon. For day lilies and I have some agapanthus that are getting ready to send up bloom stalks@CinnamonSugar There's stuff called Critter Ridder, either in granuals or a spray bottle. Smells awful but works well.
lol..it always makes me laugh when you say 'Breakfast clubbers'' because by the time you get here it's past lunchtime in the UK..Morning breakfast clubbers!!!! Cooler today at 63F...but we had a good rain last eve, will satisfy the grass for a while at least...dunno for sure what I'm up to today....oh another ground hog, big one, was on my back porch last eve....dang it, thought we had trapped and relocated all of them....
Tis true... today started off grim, windy and grey.. the forecast was for rain.. all this afternoon it's been glorious sun.. no rain...The day started off well with clear skies and a moderate breeze. I helped Mrs. L plant out broad beans and replaced a broken gate post. Time for a rest, then without warning, the heavens opened and it poured. We sprinted to the washing line and grabbed the clothes which were by then, almost dry! By the time we got them into the house, the rain had almost stopped, but the clothes were pretty damp. You just can't trust the forecast.
These idiots , who cannot even spell some words and who send this stuff must think we are all idiotsSure. Where was it when it could have made your life easy?
Remember the suggestion? to put some cut human hair into small pouches that you can fashion from anything you have on hand, that allows them to smell thru it;Been up since 0600, now sipping on 2nd cuppa tea, trying to stay awake. Laundry, gathering stuff to go to Goodwill, vacuuming and checking on what needs to be reordered from pharmacy.
Friends of the Library meeting at noonish.
Gotta figure out one additional anti-deer device for flowers that are fixing to bloom. Went out just now and the day lily that was preparing to bloom has been picked off like a canape from a silver tray by the deer (fume, fume, fume....) More bloodmeal will be purchased and spread but that doesn't help the flowers that grow on a stalk and the deer don't have to get anywhere near the ground to nibble the delicacies [more fuming... sorry, I know they are God's creatures but dang it, I was looking forward to seeing those blooms! The day lilies are ones Ed planted for me and they are special =( ] I have seen chicken wire "cloches" that might do the trick for individual plants but the question is can I find them in this little backwater town.
Y'all have a good day...
It works, @CinnamonSugarRemember the suggestion? to put some cut human hair into small pouches that you can fashion from anything you have on hand, that allows them to smell thru it;
And tie the small sacks onto the plant stems/stalks/branches,
up near the blooms.....
It's frustrating when the deer eat more than their fair share!
We sprinkle cayenne pepper around.Been up since 0600, now sipping on 2nd cuppa tea, trying to stay awake. Laundry, gathering stuff to go to Goodwill, vacuuming and checking on what needs to be reordered from pharmacy.

It's wonderful you have your daughter visiting! The games and snacks sound like lots of fun! Enjoy! My daughter has been visiting for the past week from out of state. Today we are having Game Day & she and the 2 adult grandsons are coming over to play Yahtzee. I have snacks of cheese, salami, crackers, veggie tray, & a street corn dip. Should be a fun time!
Yes, those groundhogs keep popping up! I had to have the back side of my house paved because they were digging holes right up against my house. Haven't seen any recently though.... Good luck!Morning breakfast clubbers!!!! You can make a spray concoction - beat an egg, add garlic to it, pepper and some water. Spray it on the plants. Once they smell it, they will stay away.Been up since 0600, now sipping on 2nd cuppa tea, trying to stay awake. Laundry, gathering stuff to go to Goodwill, vacuuming and checking on what needs to be reordered from pharmacy.
