Rabbits eat bananas?
I never knew that either. I'll tell you what, I went to a house once way out of nowhere. I mean I drove and drove to get to this address. I was in the hills of Pennsylvania on a radio call from a 911 operator who I really didn't understand her. Something about a man stabbed his son, but he "thinks" it was by accident and blah, blah, blah. Instead of trying to make sense of what she was talking about, I thought I just need to get there. I was doing 105 at one point. I hardly ever drove that fast on a radio call.

When I got there, it was a rescue shelter for animals that no one wanted or strays or whatever. "INSIDE" the house was this small horse. I thought it was a pony, but the owner said it was a small horse. I mean this thing was that small I could have thrown it over my shoulder. Anyway, before I found out what was going on, the old man with a beard about 2 feet long and all over the place on his face was feeding this little animal caviar on Town House crackers. I asked the kid, which I found out was 17 and I really doubt if he even went to school, let alone knew what one was, what the man was feeding the small horse and he said "Caviar." I felt like I walked into the house of horrors. I'm like WTH?

That little horse must have ate a dozen crackers with this purple caviar on it. I was going to ask for one to try it because they gotta' be kidding me, but I took my little finger and just took a dab and tasted it and yes, it was caviar. I didn't ask any questions about that. I thought, I know enough. I am now in whack-whack world, as we call it when we believe people may be a bit not with it. Please, not intended to be offensive and it's just us guys calling it as we see it. They are not mentally ill. They are just not living in the present.

Sorry if I hijacked your thread. I had to tell you that story. This is some of the stuff we run into that makes us glad we get to go home to reality.

My duvet cover has clips inside for that purpose - and to keep the inside comforter/duvet/blanket from bunching up. Even with the clips it's a lot easier to put it on with two people on the job.
If you've experienced problems with putting on your duvet cover, my kids founds this video a while back, on YouTube. It's such an easy job now to put a cover on any duvet. Here's hoping you'll enjoy this great tip!

Well yesterday on my fifth day of shooting basketballs (Am putting most balls through the net now.) to help rehab my right shoulder rotator cuff injury, I seem to have slightly caused a left groin abductor Grade 1 strain. (first time ever) Stopped shooting after about 15 minutes and since have been keeping quiet at home. Much improved overnight.

Completed coding for complex HTML, CSS, JavaScript slideshow files with 100 images on my website of this spring's photography. I use Excel to structure it all. Like most programming, debugging syntax issues can take time especially when rusty haha.

Second day of my vacation I’ve stayed inside, feeling under the weather. Not bad enough to want to stay in bed sleeping all the time and I still have somewhat of an appetite but just don’t care to go out in the chilly, raw wind.

my friends are more than accommodating and are picking me up cough drops on their grocery store run; I hate being sick on vacation

I’m not looking forward to traveling tomorrow feeling like this but it has to be done. I will, of course, wear a mask and keep the cough drops/meds handy
So sorry to hear you turned sick on your vacation.
Get well soon. 🌸🌺🌼🌻.

I have to change the fuel pump on the wife's Camaro. In order to get to the pump, you have to pull the tank. Sounded simple enough... after all, I changed the tank on the 57 with no problems. 2 straps and down she comes. Not so with the Camaro. Nope, first you have to drop the rear end, then the exhaust system and heat shields. I'm no spring chicken and it's hot and humid here, so, I jacked it up and dropped the rear. The sweat was pouring off me and I decided to hold off until tomorrow to pull the exhaust. Then, another day to pull the tank and replace the pump. Then, reverse the procedure. Geeeez, it'll take a week to do what used to be a 30 minute job.:mad:
Do take it easy in such heat…..I know, it’s hard, when you want to get things done.

Yesterday was awful. I had to take my Maltese to the vet for a heart ultrasound and she also had an anal gland infection. Her brother has terrible separation anxiety so had to take him with me and stay home with him until she returns.

Finally got the call to pick her up and it’s pouring rain which is unusual for Reno. It’s a long drive and about 3/4ths there I heard a loud noise and think maybe someone stole my catalytic converter. No but it’s a flat tire.

So I sit in the car with both dogs for over a hour waiting for roadside assistance while they bark at every dog that goes in and out of the vet. He changes the tire and then tells me that the donut needs air and to get it at the closest gas station since he forgot to put his hose in the truck. So now I have to find a full service gas station because I don’t have an air gauge or any idea how to do it.

By the time I get home I have a headache and the dogs and myself are starving. Won’t have the results for a few days until the doggy cardiologist reads them. I am also about 1k poorer.

No Kaila... the Autumn Joy is a perennial...

sounds like you have the same or similar.. Sedum Herbstfreude. . I've been growing them for about 20 years now... they need so little tending, and are really tolerant of drought, but mine grow under my shrubs in an arch I made ..so they don't get as much sun as they really should get , so I make sure they don't get thirsty...
Yes Holly, and thank you for the response post and the picture. That is the type of wonderful and lovely plant that I have, as well. Slightly different shade of blooms, more cherry look, I would call them, but oh yes, drought tolerant, come up early in Spring, and flower during the season when other things have died back.
And they've come back by themselves, for many years now.
Mine are from the ones that we moved from a close friend's land, who passed when we were both nearing age 50. So they remind me of her, as well, which I love and she would, too.
Many of my plants have a story. Do yours?
Oh nevermind, it's a good thread topic. I might start one!

No "Best by Date" ...
Picked my first Cherry Tomato of the season today but haven't tried it yet.
And so far that one little tomato cost ONLY $19.99 ... price I paid for a semi-mature plant couple of weeks ago.
Shortly after taking the pictures, big storm rolled up with gusting winds and knocked the plant over. Shoot
Waiting the storm out to pick the plant back up ... and hope we don't lose power again D'OH
EDIT: It was ... DELICIOUS ... looking forward to many more of the same :)

Aw, that's a shame, dear Cinnamon. Sorry to hear, that happened during your trip!

My timing was thrown off all day. I went down to the laundry room later than anticipated at 3 a.m. I was intending to go at midnight but got hypoglycemic, was feeling a bit weak, so ate a snack and fell asleep. I went to the supermarket shortly after they opened at 8 a.m. After brunch I fell asleep and didnt wake up until my son got home around 2:30. I had to feed Deja & me, finish loading then run the dishwasher; that made me start drying my clothes much later than expected. I can't run the dishwasher & dryer at the same time.

I attempted to schedule an appointment (online) for computer servicing 3 times; each time something went wrong (website error). Very frustrating.😕
I finally called the store and was told no appointment is necessary but it's first come, first serve. Also called Chewy about damaged cases of cat food. I love their customer service...pleasant, efficient & they always resolve things satisfactorily. I'm glad we can just toss those boxes instead of having to schlep them to FedEx. I've seen several complaints via Amazon reviews about Friskies cases of food arriving damaged. This is the second time for me.

I removed documents & photos from my hard drive, making sure what I removed is backed up in Google and/or my external drives. Also played catch the fish with Deja so she can get some exercise. 😸

Woke up way too early--330! Dragged self from bed 430. Will leave to visit grandson 1030. Should give me enough time to shower & dress I think. Will be having dinner over there, too, won't get home till past my usual bedtime. Usually go to bed 930 out of sheer boredom; run out of ways to amuse myself and can't take it anymore.
I hope you had great meal and a great time. 😀

Short trip to Walmart yesterday. Guess. what!
They had no plastic bags for fresh produce and all the little posts have disappeared.
All I was told...'we are out of them'. Okay but why take down the posts eh??
WTF (sorry) is going on with them??

Today is my macular eye jab day so may not be able to see y'all for a day or two.

I hope all went well with your eye procecure. 🤗

Today the fire inspector will be inspecting our fire system in the building and each apartment. That means the fire alarm in the halls will be going off and that is very loud. But not for a long time. Then they check our sprinklers and the heat alarm above the stoves in the apartments. Also the pull cord alarm that is by the bed and toilet. It would be okay with me usually but I will not be home. If you are not going to be home you are supposed to put your pet in a cage but I will not do that since I will be away all afternoon. My maintenance man said he will keep an eye out for Rabbit. He probably will just hide or stay under my table.

I have a dental appointment in Binghamton, which is about 40 miles away. A later appointment, at 3 so will be gone awhile.

Glorious hot day again.. but I'm indoors... trying to make my mind up whether to go swimming. It's the 40 mile round trip to get to what may already be a very crowded pool, that's putting me off...
Agreed @hollydolly thankfully up here, the weather/temperature is down to 17°C today, so windows are opened up again and finally getting some fresh air. Smart meter says 22°C today compared to 27°C yesterday.

Pondering if we should go swimming too, but thankfully it's just 10 minutes on the bus. Will see what we decide. As you know of my current position, I'd rather be anywhere than home just now...👍

On my early morning walk at 6:20,temp was 56, sun was out as I walked to buy local paper
I saw a few rabbits on my way back, watered the plants/ flowers in our community garden
This morning, around 9 I'm walking over to Marcia&Dave's house to dog sit my 'buddy boy' Tage. Last Sun I came home from church with Marcia came into their house. He started barking, then recognized my voice, got excited tail wagging etc.
I have no other plans today, may take afternoon walk if the sun is still out
