We were up early.
I've walked the dog a couple of times.
Then I grabbed the weed whacker, proceed to injured some grass & weeds.

Shower time was leisurely, applying creams, relaxing.

NOW to make a delicious meal ,when I would rather continue to relax in our new chair.

I think the only delivery things we can get is Pizza.
Hubby likes the little ones I make.

Morning all.....going to get to 100F here today, already around 80, wheewww...
No definite plans, other than stay cool....that danged rash has come back with
a vengance, got a call into doc's office about it....if they can prescribe meds fine,
if not they won't see me again....tired of it....take care all folks......:D
@hawkdon Could the rash be from the kind of soap you use when bathing or from the laundry detergent you use? Just a thought.

I won my case with city!
Did I miss something. Whatever it was, yay for you.

Shopping done OK. I'm not joking about Waitrose, the nearest stores were in Edinburgh and Glasgow, but there is now one in Stirling and that's only 160 miles. The weather has improved slightly, but still bad for July.
You drive 160 miles each way to shop?

granny, I do not think that is the issue, I have used the same ones for years...don't know if that is good or bad, just is...think it is some sort of internal
issue that these doc's are not addressing...for instance, for 6yrs I have been having this problem all they do is prescribe creams...nothing until this last doc,
she prescribed a pill, but it does not last...so don't know the answer, and frankly
don't think the doc's do either!!!!

I've been to the hospital to see my consultant today... The hospital is in the next county, so I got there 2 hours before I was due, so I could get my hair cut in the local town before I went to my appointment
.. I couldn't get it done, it's a walk in place, and there must have been at least 10 people waiting... so instead to fill the time, I had a browse around the stores.. and the Mall.... Everywhere was packed full.. it was almost like Christmas..and I have no idea why it was like that. The Mall was just full of people... even in the clinic it was full to the Brim and sooo hot in there.. no AC..

Anyway I bought some jeans.. and a white long sleeve V -Neck Linen shirt.. a few others bits and pieces.. but that was just 2 stores, I didn't really feel like going around the rest..

Made my way to the hospital..only to be told when I got there that the Consultant was running 2 hours late late.. so I told them to forget it.. I wasn't waiting for 2 hours past my appointment time.. so I got a new appointment for October..instead..

Drove to the Supermarket .. and the Frozen food store .. and stocked up for the next few weeks...

@hawkdon, does your rash take the form of blisters?

Oh gosh, all that heat and the crowds, and then, their terribly gone-bad scheduling! :oops:And you weren't even able to get a haircut. We'll hope that you love your purchases, and that your next trip there, goes entirely differently!

@hawkdon
I have been wondering about an update on your eyeglasses.
Did they actually turn out to work better for you, after you'd gone back and had them adjusted to fit your face better?

Some years back, I'd had a similar experience and had gone back, as you did recently, and like you, found that they were no better, afterwards.
I hated to, but I had to return to the prescriber again, and explain further, that I just could not wear them,

and they then did change the script, to something that actually helped me to see better and easier, and to feel much better.

Actually, thinking about it now, I can remember 2 times, this happened to me, over the decades of eyeglass prescriptions.
That the script needed to be changed, and after a few trips back to the office it was, and then I could wear them for a few years.(y)

I also remember once when I was a younger adult, that I suffered with a pair, until I just stopped wearing them, and went without any for a few years, because at that age, I couldn't deal with it any differently.

I write all this, to encourage you to go back again, if you still need to! :giggle:
(And anyone else who is reading this, to do the same.)

You deserve to have a helpful eyeglass prescription!:D

Though I do hope that eyeglass difficulty of yours, has already worked out well for you,
and that you don't need to go back again, and that all of this writing will be worthless, now!🙃😄☺️:ROFLMAO:

I've noticed more people out lately. Do you suppose covid has finally stopped keeping the last hold outs in?

@hollydolly :eek:Wait two hours? Um. They couldn't call you? Geez.

I'm glad you finally got some new clothes. You know you needed 'em;)

I've been out and watered the flowers. It's hotter again.
yes it's very annoying when there's a long wait when one has already waited month for the appointment.. surely they must know when making these appointments that each patient needs at least a specific time with their consultant.. x-rays etc have to be taken.. but instead it seems to me tey cram as many people in on the same day..totally overwhelming the consultants.. which I was informed today don't start their clinic until 2pm.. how ridiculous it al is... the NHS is really a dying swan...

Gigi...I needed new clothes like you need new flowers... desperately... :D

it could be... however here in the UK I think it's because usually at this time of year most places are like ghost towns, because so many people are away abroad on holiday.. but with so many airport, and train strikes,.. and wild fires in the most popualr holiday countries...the sheer hike in prices of holiday homes and hotels abroad..since Covid, has made millions decide to staycation instead..

Unfortunately they are still not fitting correctly, I got a big red mark on one side of my nose from the way they sit on my face....but I've resisted going back, just don't want to....also not sure they are scribed correctly, that is ground correctly....getting to the point that I'm just not satisfied how these
"medical" types do their jobs....at my expense.....ah well.....

Spent the last few days purging the kitchen drawers (there are 12 of them) and organizing so I can find things. I had bought a bunch of small assorted plastic bins at Dollar Tree and using those made it easy to have a place for everything. I’m left with a box of worn out dish towels and some long unused cooking or broken utensils, etc. I guess I’ll put the towels in a rag bin in the garage and donate the usable utensils to the thrift store. The only remaining drawer is the “junk” drawer which will be a challenge.

@J-Kat Good luck with the junk drawer. The only thing I've ever accomplished by cleaning out a junk drawer is making more space for more junk! :ROFLMAO:

@hollydolly Love the dress. Now all you need is a person of the male persuasion to invite you to meet for a coffee so you can wear it.

@hawkdon A couple of years ago I got a new pair of specs that were "off" and raised Cain about them because they caused headaches. The supplier kept insisting there was nothing wrong with them but offered me a credit toward to a different (and more expensive, of course) pair. Nope. I complained long and loud until a tech happened to look at them and said "Wait! This lens wasn't ground correctly. We'll take care of it." No charge.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Or the crossed eye gets the new lens...
