Morning folks....still a little sore, but not too much...eye still looks bad in
mirror....not sure if this is my carelady day or not...so not sure if I should
pull the sheets off bed....trying to get the energy to go shower, and do some
straightening up in this house....think that fall zapped my energy and emotions
at the same time....later.....o_O
 

Lots of weather reports in here this morning. I enjoy following the weather. It's only 52 degrees this morning and cool in the house. The AC didn't run even once yesterday. I know it's way too early for fall but it was a nice break before the temp gets back in the 80s tomorrow. It should be only 75 today. We had good rain on Saturday but it had big hail with it. I'm not sure if I will need a roof inspection or not.

Katlupe, I didn't know bunnies ate bananas. Yesterday morning my cats got very excited over a wild bunny that came to sit by the porch steps and watch them staring out the door. They love to watch the squirrels and often see bunnies but not usually that close.

It takes a few days to work through the soreness after a fall. I hope you'll be feeling better soon.

Some dark clouds first thing this morning, but weather has been better than forecast. Two loads of washing done and on to the clothesline. Took garden waste to the recycling place and then went to the beach for an ice cream and a stroll along the sands. Tide was full out, but the beach was almost deserted. By the time we left it was getting busier - about 20 people on the beach.

Going to do a spot of gardening this afternoon. It's roasting here - 18C / 65F - in N.E. Scotland, that's roasting :cool:

My eyes aren't really open yet, but I have my coffee in hand. I'm going to start at the top of the last page, and back read some posts. Try to catch up on all of the mischief that everyone has been getting into. We'll see how that goes!

Mrs.L used to do quite a bit of dressmaking, but I think she's now more of a jeans and T-shirt girl.

OMG! I've missed what happened that you have a black eye! It sounds bad if you are taking pain pills for it. I'm sorry that you are going through this! 😥

Just waiting now for DD to be awake enough to take me to the garden center to get...more mulch, of course. Still need lots of mulch to finish spread and make the garden look tidier and keep the soil wet after watering until we get real rain again.

It was supposed to be raining by 5 this morning. That got moved to 11, then moved to 2, now says 4, but radar shows it all going north of us.

The rain has been missing us for the last few days, and that's a really good thing for us. Usually, in the month of July, we get less than 3 inches of rain. This year, we got 7 inches!!! It's downright swampy around here! ☂️☔

Clutter must be my middle name. The older I get, the more I hate it!! Maybe because it's getting harder to remember where I put stuff, even when it's where it belongs! LOL
 
This is a couple of days old……what did I do on Saturday……
Saturday……2 friends of mine from where I moved from, came in for the day…..we enjoyed a great lunch at Pizza Hut….and a great day of visiting, checking out my place and the community…..catching up with all the happenings…..the day went so fast…..we usually talk once a week on the phone.65947B7C-A565-40E5-8B76-C01655820E62.jpeg

Because my wee sweet girls ashes, Shaalee, weren’t back when I moved.

My friends brought her home to me……and of course……tears were falling, and still are.
She will join her place of honour with my other three passed, in my curio cabinet.
The small glass vile contains locks of her hair……we did the foot prints after she passed.

Had such a great day yesterday! Went to an arcade with hubby, son and DIL, daughter and SIL and their two kids. We had a ball! I even won a few games playing pinball. High scores, not number matches.

Daughter, granddaughter and grandson had been dispatched to get me because it was time to head down the street and grab a very late lunch, but I was in my groove. Instead of ushering me to the door they got into watching the games play out.

DS & DDIL were already at the eatery waiting for us. When we arrived I apologized and explained. My son smiled and said, "No worries, Mom, everyone knows you never walk away from the table when you're on a heater!"

This arcade has a family day one Sunday a month, so it was crowded with children and parents. So much fun. A guard at the door so nobody had to track their kids closely. It reminded me of my own and my children's childhoods - a time when it was ok to let kids wander a bit.

We've been to the arcade before with DS & DDIL on non-family days, but the whole gang had such a good time that we'll try to go there as a group on other family days.

Well just fell back in from doc's office....LOL...yes I fell just walking into house
after seein the doc.....my left leg for some reason just gave way and down I went
head hit this glass desk and so on and on....but here I am...called the firemen to
come pick me up, and my friend was luckily still here to do that for me....ah well,
never said getting old was fun.....odd thing is I'd just told the doc that it was
over a year since I fell !!!!!!!! Took a pain pill, one small cut under left eye, prob
gonna have a black eye....now I'm gonna lay down and try to stay out of
trouble !!!! o_O😥🧑‍🦽

Does she come on different days of the week? Or is it usually the same day, but does she cancel on some of them?:unsure:

Even if she sticks to a routine, we can definitely get mixed up!o_O:rolleyes::giggle:

But if she has any bit of inconsistency at all, in her schedule;

then most any of us might as well give up, on trying to keep track of when she might arrive!

It's been a dry fairly sunny warm day today.. so I was able to get onto the ladders and cut back lots of Ivy which grows over the brick shed...

We're forecast for more rain tomorrow and then from Wednesday a heatwave....finally, 1/2 way through August we'll see some real summer weather.. potentially..

I did some moving of furniture from one room to another.. freed up space in the spare room.. and gave me more storage space in my bedroom..

I also attached handles to a chest of drawers which had no handles. They are designed like that.... like these

..but because I have the arthritis in my fingers which has become so much worse in the last 2 years , it's awkward to try and open a drawer like that, and also they tend to close back with a snap and easy to trap my fingers in them , so I've attached some handles to them..it's made them so much easier to open now..

Today I tried ringing around to see if I could get someone to fit a new flush light in kitchen.. but jeez people want extortionate prices to do it. It's irritating because I've seen my husband do it many times, it took him about 10 or 15 minutes to remove the old and replace with the new...but the prices I'm getting quoted , you'd think I was asking for the house to be rewired... :confused:... I won't be beaten.. I will continue on...
 
Well. Didn't get finished today so just left it for "somebody" else to do. Sir scheduled both me and TL off tomorrow. He gets to be "somebody."

It's hot and steamy. 93 and feels like ? Too hot to look!

After work DD took me to the garden center to get more mulch. I spread three sacks and planted three plants that we got from "Clarence" before I couldn't do anything more.

Tomorrow is a day off so I'll get up with the chickens and try to finish spreading mulch.
