Good to know your pipe issues are getting sorted out @RadishRose and that @hollydolly's have been taken care of.

Plumbing, electric and roofs are three areas of homeownership that require immediate attention when problems arise. They never, ever get better on their own.

Baby woke up with 100.3 temp. Much better than yesterday's 103°. Hoping this means he's past the worst of it.
 

Took the major decision to change things today. It'll complicate things a bit and losing some services but overall, it'll be worth it for sanity.

I'm hurting so much but when you take for granted that something was over and even though things have changed there are still bumps in the road, it's annoying.

You might lose me for a while until I can get everything back in line again, but I'm thinking of myself first.

I'm tired now. Sorry, I'll chat later when I feel better. Cheers!

PS : something has changed here on people's profiles, it no longer says when the person was online just when they joined. Weird? Did you notice this?
 
Good morning, boys and girls. It rained again last night, and a "cold" front blew through so today's high is only going to be about 80. Yippee and stuff.

Gonna waltz on over to the mines and see what's going on today. Sir said he'd be there early, but early is relative. Right now is early.

Y'all behave, okay? @hollydolly Would you takes names? I'll deal with the miscreants when I get home...

Enough strength gathered, we headed to pharmacy downtown (finally) to get prescription. They said they had new system they were working on, and it would be ready in about an hour.

We made that productive. We went to grocery store and got missing list items. Got an appointment at Specsavers for ear test, cleaning and unblocking plus tinnitus management.

Came back to pharmacy, picked up ready prescription and now home just completed lunch, with first iron pill, Caesar Salad without chicken, had pastrami instead. Tonic water with ice, fresh croissant and butter.

Now enjoying coffee and looking out at a whitewashed sky full of solid clouds. Catching up on YouTube videos recommendations and subscriptions.

Mid week, Yippee, next a quiet and peaceful weekend.
 
Today and the past week. I came on here after years of absence as I noted one, the delightful Hollydolly had posted a picture of her equally delightful little river the Mimran. So I have been buying books on other similar rivers adding one today. Cheap as chips, how do they make a profit on a book priced £2-14p including postage. Anyway one arrived today and had a quick look, my beloved River Test, looked brand new.
Inside it had an inscription to a Judge and was from a Lady somebody? Interestingly inside he had marked his short fishing beat during the Mayfly Season which would have been just a few days and cost him £1740 some 30 years ago. Sorry to read then that water extraction and sewerage were destroying the river, and 30 years on we have made no progress.

I HAD to travel 45 miles to the Missouri State Capitol today. The Medical Pot I use for pain management has completely dried up in the Columbia vicinity. I am almost out and a store in Jefferson City had some ( on sale ). So I took off at 9am. Come along for the ride. :)

NIce pictures. I thought it was funny with the state capital building. Selling pot in the state capital seems right. Government these days seems high on something.

Same as you. My mom died this past March. Have been with her, caring for her since 2009. Everything in my life was geared to her and her needs.

She was my purpose in retirement. Now she's gone and so went my purpose. I thought her passing would give me a greater sense of freedom. But, it has left me rudderless.

Been trying to find a new purpose or pace ever since. Exploring old neighborhoods and haunts has been my major activity.

I had joined a bereavement group, but many there had been in the group for 3 or 4 years. Seems like bereavement became their purpose. Wasn't going to waste my time with that. So now looking elsewhere.

With you all the way dear lady. My mother died on January 7th 1956, a little over two months before my tenth birthday. I still talk to her. When I got married twelve years later, my bride and I laid part of my lady's wedding bouquet on her mother-in-law's grave. We stood together, holding hands, shedding our tears. You never forget your mother.

Co-incidentally, my youngest sibling was just 10 years old too when our mum died.. ..I don't have a grave to visit sadly..
 
Hi, kids! I'm ho-o-o-me. Looks like everybody behaved since I haven't heard differently.

Turned out that the reason TL wasn't there yesterday was that...she forgot. I guess she woke up thinking it was Wednesday, her day off:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: LOL!

Tomorrow is Thursday. Thursday is MY day off so I won't go to work.
 
Late good morning gang!!! Just finished writing two more
utility checks, barely legible, hope they will go thru LOL..writing
has gotten much worse over time....ah well....had biscuits and
sausage gravy for brkfast today, yummy///// got groceries
coming in an hour....so sorta busy today....catch u later....;)
