What exercise have you done today?

I cooked Thanksgiving dinner. If that isn't a workout, I don't know what is.

I took the dogs on a 1/2 mile walk this morning with 1/4 of that at the *very* slow pace of my 13 year old dog and the rest at the somewhat slow pace of my 12 year old dog while the 13 year old was riding in the stroller. This afternoon I did a 30 minute Japanese Interval Walking walk to the local university, let both dogs walk about 1/3 of a mile and then let the 12 year old walk about 3./4 of a mile home. The afternoon walk is about a 3 mile walk total.

Walked around 1/2 mile round the local park. It nearly killed me. The cold wind made my eyes water, and I couldn't get them to focus properly. On top of that, half way round my right calf and ankle started complaining, so I had to stop a couple of times, and slow down my walking as well. I do want to continue with the walks though, as otherwise I don't do any exercise at all. Other than lifting my coffee cup that is.

Continuing on from yesterday's walk round the local park, today I did the same route again, but this time in the opposite direction. The weather was much warmer, but there was constant drizzle and it was a bit windy as well. I still suffered a bit with my right calf and ankle, just like yesterday, but not as bad today.

I hope I can continue doing this till Christmas (weather permitting!) and then I'll take a few days off. But I do want to try and get my leg muscles working as they should. It might even help me lose some of the fat I'm carrying round with me all the time too.

I missed the first and second dog walks (which were picked up by husband and son, respectively). As of now, I've done 20 minutes on the treadmill and my toning. Planning on a late dog walk or one more short treadmill.
