Yeah, and a lot of others. Where is the stage full of prospective candidates for either party? Or for an independent party for that matter?

Neither of these "Antique's Road Show" prospectives have been confirmed as representative candidates for the respective parties. So what gives? That's why I won't be watching. Its already a done deal.

That was over 3 months ago..........try to keep up it's really not that hard.

Because of the extremely undemocratic way our Presidents are chosen (electoral college) the only votes that matter are those of people who live in a handfull of competitive swing states. For the rest of us our votes are basicly worthless. :mad:

Super pacs own politicians and politics. sooner than later super pacs have to be outlawed.
Of course, the on toward is A small group will own and run everyone's life.

I dont know. You tell me. It works kind of slow though. I was already in the taxi on the way to the dentist when it started to work. I brought a bag with me.The driver started to look kind of nervous. I don't blame him. I swallowed a brand new veneer with a bagel and I was determined not to have pay for another one. I was at the dentist when I finally had to use their sink. They didn't charge me for the new veneer. Batter not have!!!
 
This is the first time a sitting President has debated a former President. They both have been in office for 4 years, which give them both this confidence of having "been" there. Watch and see if it doesn't make a difference in the substance they invoke in their answers. Which might turn out to be hard hitters. :)

Oh, the pain, the awesome pain! ... Groan button please. But reasonably, if there is no winner of the popular vote due to state rights, They have to win the points so the ones in the Electrical collage are tasked, they are there to make the appointment. It all then has to pass congress and Jan 6 votes. What's that a poke of Crooks and liars ? Should anyone believe a footage of release on TV about all that? Just believe what ya might of seen live is a great thought I think. So who is a Traitor? Are those great USA of A. questions.

Personally I look to tonight as a ... ... ... ... ... ... wait for it ... ... ... ... ... ... would you repeat the question... ... .... what cha mean I didn't answer it! So Help Me God Jan 6 was a MAGA conspiracy & Will someone wake the sob up!

I some ways this doesn't feel like an American debate. It feels like a debate in some third world country, where there are 2 Presidents who think they are in charge, and at such a critical time in history. We couldn't talk politics even if we wanted to. Nobody knows what's goin' on. "Marvin Gaye" might. :)

I agree, the vast majority doesn't have a clue to how important these issues are. Even if you do, getting informed and balanced reporting is close to impossible to obtain. Everything is so divisive. I am one who does not want to be willfully uninformed, but when I try to GET informed it is very diofficult to get to the bottom of most of these critical issues. Any advice for the coming months that would help in this regard?

We trust PBS and BBC. All the polemic stations are a waste and just forget social media.
 
The only Issue I See is Who is actually even near telling the Truth about simple questions.
Should illegal aliens get permanent Citizenship so to pay and get Social Security is most likely #1.
What constitutes Legal immigration, is years of law abiding life style and the desire to attain citizenship?
Should Gobernment continue to overspend following really dumb ideas. How may 100,000's need firing.

Of course the USA future is not about Democracy, it isn't one. It's about honesty in government. Not here now.
Super pacs cannot be allowed and Advertising has to be brought under an honest accounting all the time.
Stepping on one individuals rights does not mean he has the right to spread total lies 24 x7's until fired.

I hope to watch it for the entertainment value, I no longer take US politics seriously. Typically those type of events move so slowly I lose interest after just a few minutes, so doubt I will watch much of it.

IMO you are prejudging this debate. I will watch it and then form my opinions.
Things don't always pan out the way we think they will.

Well, at the very least a debate is better than a shooting match.
 
You better think twice about that yawn @papa tiger ...America needs a fearless leader who loves his country and it's people and who is in this to save America....now more than ever. Russia, North Korea, China, and Iran are banning together to take advantage of a "weak America" as they see it now.

Our military was once the strongest in the world...I'm not sure about "strongest" now but it's not as good. We need a leader who will build our military back up and our badly depleated economy.

Recently, like a few weeks ago or less, Russian ships were spotted just off the Florida Coast "practicing". That never would have been allowed ever in our history. Don't even get me started on all the 24,000 Chinese Nationals as well as Koreans and Iranians who poured into our country over the border.

I'm just saying this election is super important. It's a critical time for America. This debate is probably going to be poorly done though.
